I used to have a friend I always used to play Splatoon 2 with. She was a drawer (She wanted to become an official artist) and I wanted to become a musician. I don't know where is she now, but I hope she's having fun, and overall, healthy, having a happy life. I'll miss her.

I am devastated. While, last I checked on 8/4/24, the day of closing, the servers limp on like a zombie, the message is all the same. When I got my Wii U, a used system that just _happened_ to come with Splatoon, in late 2017 (I had something stupid against the Switch because of asymmetric controllers), just before Miiverse shut down, I had never heard of Splatoon. It wasn't on my wishlist. The fact that just happening upon that specific Wii U being sold by that one person, I think after the OG owner moved out or something, changed my life drastically. While I most probably never played nearly as much or as long as my memory tries to convince me, the effect was the same regardless. This song was one of many things that was core to my early experience. I just... listened over and over. The bit in the middle, whatever the term is, especially. Later, I believe, I learned that the game had lived and died long before I came to it. I didn't understand what the commotion about Miiverse was until much later, when I regretted its loss immensely though I had never used it. It was the game's soul, evidently. Now with the game itself gone... part of me is missing. Though I virtually never played it in any years, the fact that it's, granted rather dead and lifeless with no posts and only Japanese names I couldn't and cannot read, husk was still around at least meant that I _could_ go back once in a while. Now that's gone. It's just... I miss you, Splatoon. You were one of the best damn things to ever happen to me. Goodbye.

Do NOT be afraid to get into drawing no matter who you are, art is a subjective matter that has no boundaries. Art is a creative medium to express ideas and create imagery from your head. Don't be unmotivated, noone is "better" at art than you are, they simply see the world in a different way.

I never got to play the first splatoon game on the Wii and hearing that all the servers are gonna be shutting down on the 8th this month I’m never gonna experience those maps or online gameplay in the first game and all I can do is just enjoy listening to this song to remember how this game has changed my life and how grateful I am to have found it

Ok, been procrastinating about reviewing this one, here goes: First of all, love the animation, I also love how Vivziepop made the intro artwork. The verses are very cool in terms of rhyme and instrumental, but for me, the best part of this song were the choruses. They. Hit. HARD, I find it very difficult to resist banging my head to the beat it’s got going, the guitar, the vocals, it’s awesome.

Technically Splatoon as a whole follows the idea, as it’s a silly game with the theme of squid kids painting the world like its their canvas, just enjoying the time they have in Inkopolis Plaza and or Square. Though, sometimes It isn’t as fun and childlike as it seems-

Ever since i was a kid i've been listening to TLT and loved the songs, it's been years now and this is probably still one of my favs. I didn't even know what splatoon was when i first heard this, then later when i did and eventually started playing when splatoon 2 came out i was reminded or just stumbled into this song and i FINALLY understood what was going on in the music video.
I've known this song for ages , and I kinda forgot about it , then I really started loving splatoon , and I remembered this song called SQUID melody and u was like "oh imagine if it's for splatoon" and it was , just showing that I really love splatoon ig😂

First of all, love the animation, I also love how Vivziepop made the intro artwork. The verses are very cool in terms of rhyme and instrumental, but for me, the best part of this song were the choruses. They. Hit. HARD, I find it very difficult to resist banging my head to the beat it’s got going, the guitar, the vocals, it’s awesome.
