Nick has always maintained that the social media has changed how incidents, my word not his, should be handeled by people with followings. His opinion has always been that hiding away, and not speaking publicly was a mistake. Social media is a tool, if you have it, should be used. I doubt he ever thought a situation would arise where he would have to follow his own advise, but here it is.
