      Nice video, I ordered two litepros from the same place, the first arrived in Australia in three weeks, the second one was sent by China Post before Xmas and I'm still waiting for it.
      Tracking shows it has stopped in Shanghai and it could be month's before it arrives.
      The first bike is good quality, only needed the tyres inflating and gear cable adjusting slightly. No complaints at all.
      Good luck with yours.

    Recently I had bought the electric c line Brompton. If you really want a bike to walk and shipping with you in the mall, I would suggested “Carryme” over “Brompton”. Carryme is made in Taiwan and much lighter than a Brompton. This my third day after I bought new Brompton. This is too heavy such that I won’t take it with me on train but rather leave it at home. I am now deeply regret why I am obsessed in Brompton instead of “Carryme”.

    • @BikeCommuterHero
      @BikeCommuterHero  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Interesting. I took a look at the carryme, but it seems like my commute would be an awfully long 10 miles. It best suits short distances, I believe.

    B is expensive. I had one and bought in Israel when i was there. Now back in Singapore rode less than 5 times because i have 6 better bikes to choose. Sold it and got Bikefriday, best ride for foldies. B is upright centre riding. Got a 3sixty but friend saw my setup sold to him and yet i havent riden on it. Now in Singapore ther are many clones... Mobot, 3sixty, Pikes, Element, Crius, Litrepro, Weekeight, Aceoffix, B Flex, Alps, United bike.. All clones and came from same factory in China with sight tweak to their own OEM brand.
    I m going to explore a MINT trifold. Best spec to my liking. Disc brake, external gear and 9 speed. BEST COMPACT FOLDING 16" folding for short trip in coaches, bus... other than that i wont waste hard earned money buying for same steel that folds exactly. I believe the craze started because of COVID19 and pricing shot way up. World economy will have expected downfall and so will the pricing soon.
    And i dont need a brand to say about my size of wallet when i ride especially here in singapore.

    Thanks for this video. I´m inloved with the Brompton design but it expensive and I don´t know if it´s a little unstable. If there is another option (like de Litepro) with enough quality, I will consider it. I will be aware of your experience and your next videos. I have also thought of a Tern Link D8, as it is more stable, but I do not know if it is of less quality.

    Perhaps a second hand Brompton, a version 2018 and up, might give you a great deal ? But I would pick it up. I would never buy something online with shipment that is over a 150 dollars anyway. Not even from a legit bussines. You are a risktaker for sure :-)

    • @BikeCommuterHero
      @BikeCommuterHero  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It's a bit of a risk, alright. I thought that it could help others avoid getting scammed if it's a trap. Or get a good deal if it's legit. There are 3 second hand Bromptons available in my city, all sold by the same perso n. I might go ahead and buy one if people are interested in a side-by-side comparison.

    • @mleys3248
      @mleys3248 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@BikeCommuterHero Hi, if you would proceed to doing a side-by-side comparison please do include the thickness of the steal used in both bikes. For the frame as well as the stem and the handlebars. My worry with an imitation Brompton would be that those parts would be too thin and the bike would eventually collaps during riding. Because that would be extremely dangerous. I wouldn't want to fall under the wheels of a car because of lack of quality checks on behalf of the manufacturer. At least for Brompton you know that they robot test every part on durability. Which is probably not the case for the bike that is coming your way.

  • @NoZenith
    @NoZenith 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I see you didn't mention the 3Sixty and yet there is a whole lot more information online about those. What was the reason you didn't consider it as an option for a Brompton clone? (I am genuinely curious, I already purchased a Brompton but it would be nice to have a spare bike around for when company comes over or I'm going to go on a road trip with somebody and don't feel like taking their full size mountain bike with us so we can actually go cycling together. BUT a 6-speed Brompton (H6R) is pushing $2,000 now when all said and done and I'm not going to buy a spare Brompton haha)

    • @BikeCommuterHero
      @BikeCommuterHero  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I did consider the 3sixty but the shipping options to Hungary don't seem to be clear. I couldn't get a shipping quote, whereas here everything was simple. Apart from seeing how it performs, I'm also very interested in comparing them eventually.

    Do you know about the Euromini folding 20” wheel bike? The company is now called “Zizzo.” Manufactured in China, distributed from California. Customer service is second to none, absolutely amazing in these days of impersonal, or non-existent, customer care. I ride the 8-speed Urbano model. It is solidly built and uses standard, non-proprietary components. Shimano Altus drive train, 20 x 1.95 tires, and only 24 pounds. It folds up very well, quickly and easily, with magnet catch. It rides and handles great. Mine as of October 2022 costs USD 429. No sales tax, and free shipping, in the U.S. It ships in a very strong double box, and is packed extremely well with a lot of protection. Mine arrived perfect. All I had to do was unpack it, unfold it, put the seat post in, and go for a ride. Trouble-free!
    I don’t know whether they ship to Hungary, but the bikes are worth checking out. I think there are 6 different models.
    *** I don’t have any affiliation with Zizzo except as a very happy customer and rider.*** I did a lot of research before buying. It seemed to be best built, easiest to maintain and modify, has 5-star customer service, wide line of parts and accessories, and definitely best value for money. They also sell near-new or like-new refurbished models. There is also a very active “Zizzo Owners” Facebook group that has a lot of friendly, VERY helpful, knowledgeable people. Also Zizzo employees and techs are daily jumping into conversations with help.
    I hope this might be helpful to those trying to choose a folding bicycle. I love my Zizzo Urbano, and the so-helpful, friendly company. *** I also hope your bike arrived ok!!!

The 3sixty feels significantly lighter than a Brompton to carry to me, though (picked on up in the store, same spec, 6 speed). I wish I had known about Litepro, though!). I am surprised a Singaporean shop would ship to Europe.

    I tried to buy a 360 folding bike from Asia to the EU, but they didn't dare to sell to me, even though the Brompton Patent has run out. So in the end I bought a SuperlightM6LXBrompton which is extremely well built, though the ridiculous small, clear pieces of tape for protecting the paint are clearly useless!!
    And, if English Andrew Ritchie hadn't got the idea of a "triple folding bike", I guess no Copies would most likely have existed!

I have a 6speed, but I just threw away the 2 speed derailleur from it, so now it has only a 3 speed IGH, but with wide gear ratios, it is a weird setup, but I love it.
