I always learn a lot from all your videos but especially from the progress updates ones. Thank you!! I have to add that as a new orchid grower, it eases my mind a lot to see that also seasoned collectors have orchids that go to 'orchid heaven' 😅
I appreciate these videos. If your orchid society will let you, please film some of the meeting. We have a small society and when you post these I show my members what we can be doing. Thanks!!!
Re:14:42- I love my 30+ Miltoniopsis and have good results by preventative bug spraying to protect tender new growths by opening the newest tiny leaves before spraying, slow release and liquid feeding, calmag and seaweed, LED for 13 hours and re-potting every 9 months. I've had re-blooms on one Miltoniopsis or another since March 2023 with this method so it might be worth a try, They are worth the effort. Fabulous type of orchid!
I was also given old back bulbs of Sharry Baby & another oncidium. They have all got shoots!! I just plonked them into bark mix & kept up the watering. They are tough!
Always look forward to your videos. I grow in a small intermediate to warm greenhouse so I don't have alot of the same orchids you do. I have a few oncidium types, including Shary Baby and Massai Pink, so it was interesting to see yours. Please do share more about their required culture. I seem to be hit and miss with them. They are doing well now but when summer hits...we shall see.
The Oncidium type intergenerics are difficult to judge unless the actual species involved can be found. Some have cool growers in the mix and don't grow well in heat. Others have warmer growers involved and don't like cooler temps. Most Oncidium types will stop growing above 28C.
I’m in Brisbane Qld. & my Miltonias are spiking like mad in our hot humid weather. My new Milt. spectabilis is yet to open its buds. Hopefully they will be pretty pinks.
I enjoy these videos Roger. I learn so much from the ‘progress updates’. Your videos are always full of great information. Thank you.
Thanks - and you're welcome.

Moving house and changing environments was costly - probably lost around 50-60 orchids. Some still haven't recovered and may still fail.
Always enjoy this type of videos ,Thank you, Roger 💐. Have a great weekend ! 🤗
You're welcome.
