i have a little brother and we're living apart with each of our parents (not divorced though, my dad is working away from home). we always sing this song together every night on video call because the night before they left, Coco was on air on a channel and he watched it for the first time. I had him in my arms as i explained to him the story and when it came to Mama Coco singing this song, I cried because no matter how many times I watch it, it makes my throat go dry and hurt like it wouldn't go away unless i cried. my little brother wiped my tears, completely puzzled why i was crying.

My mother passed away in 2021 due to stage 4 cancer of the stomach. This song reminded me of the time where we would cuddle up on our couch, and watch the Simpsons. Just her and me, something I still would give the world for just a minute.
