I live in Colorado and I'm notified when my ballot has been mailed to me. I recived it 2 days later, voted and dropped them off at a ballot drop box. Two days later I was notified that my ballot had been received and was pending signature verification. Just yesterday I was notifed that my ballot had been counted. Our system works well and clearly it did in this case because they caught 12 of them. I would be interested to know which candidates were voted for on those 12 ballots. Since they were in Mesa county I have my suspicions.

I live in Colorado and the voting here has always been safe and secure however I did get something suspicious a couple years ago meaning that someone was actually looking at the way I was voting, anyway it slipped through the mail and got to me I was able to catch it because Colorado has secure voting but it makes me sick that I have to keep my grandson home from school on November 5th and sixth because I'm afraid of what might happen during this election, and it also makes me sick that when I voted in a midterm a year ago and special election that there was a police officer standing next to the ballot box which has never happened before, what a sad State we're in and I'm sick and tired of this these mega Trump voters need to stop trying to steal elections while simultaneously blaming the democrats for it

Michigan also has a system like this - with absentee ballots, you can mail them or turn them in at a dropbox. When they are officially received you can see it on the website so you can verify that it arrived.

Use passwords ... When a voter requests a mail in ballot they leave a password and if it gets stolen in the mail the thief wont know the password to write on it...
I looked into voting these ways. Thinking l will be going to the Township building and vote the old way. The ladies make homemade cookies for us voters. Best Snicker doodles ever.
Though I miss the cookies, I vote at home where I can look up each issue and be sure that I understand the question, and that I'm voting the way I want. Then I can easily drop my ballot in a drop box the next time I am out and about. The fraud occurred here when someone stole ballots from people's mailboxes. Whether you vote by mail or drop box or in person would make no difference. Every eligible voter in Colorado receives a ballot in the mail. You may then choose how you vote. Should your ballot be questioned, they would contact you to ask you to cure ( verify) your information. At that point, you would know to tell them that wasn't your ballot. You would then still be able to vote in person or by mail in ballot because they would send you a new one. If there wasn't time to mail it, you would be allowed to pick up a new ballot at the County Clerk's office ( verified by your signature ) When voting in person, your signature is instantly verified by the election judge present at the polling station, ( cookie lady) from their list. Mesa County is a red district here in Colorado, and there should be no issue unless they were known Democrats. We get notifications when our ballots were mailed and ballots casted. So there are safe guards! Jena is a great Secretary of State I have no issues with her nor our election system!

Do you understand how remote many people are from voting sites in Colorado? If we have snow on election day (not unlikely - actually far more likely than voter fraud), a good number of people would not be able to vote at all.
Modern mail-in voting is much more secure than old fashioned in-person precinct voting... more paper trail. The reporters got it wrong, 1 known ballot got through- the rest were caught before the envelopes were opened
I would probably be asked to cure my ballot every time. As I get older my signature continues to change. There’s got to be a better way to verify. Possibly a unique identification code that is sent via email or otherwise separate from the ballot itself.

Colorado has been an all mail ballott state ince 2013. For big elections you have the option of in person voting but the wait is at least an hour and the ballotts can be long. Trump was kicked off the ballot by a Judge who heard evidence in a court. Unfortunately, SCOTUS reinterpreted the constitution and allowed him to stay on.
I was sent 2 ballots. The DMV let me get my DL renewed online. I had to answer several questions. One was do you want to register. I had to answer yes. I will recommend they have a "already registered". I could tell the DL ballot, it included my full middle name.

I live in Colorado and the voting here has always been safe and secure however I did get something suspicious a couple years ago meaning that someone was actually looking at the way I was voting, anyway it slipped through the mail and got to me I was able to catch it because Colorado has secure voting but it makes me sick that I have to keep my grandson home from school on November 5th and sixth because I'm afraid of what might happen during this election, and it also makes me sick that when I voted in a midterm a year ago and special election that there was a police officer standing next to the ballot box which has never happened before, what a sad State we're in and I'm sick and tired of this these mega Trump voters need to stop trying to steal elections while simultaneously blaming the democrats for it

PS… former Mesa County Clerk, Tina Peters, was just sentenced to 9 years in prison after being found guilty on seven charges, including four felonies - three counts of attempting to influence a public servant and one count of conspiracy to commit criminal impersonation. She was also convicted on three misdemeanors - first-degree official misconduct, violation of duty and failure to comply with an order from the Secretary of State - all in an attempt to change the outcome of a fair and free election in her county. Kind of weird that these tampered ballots came from her county!

Use passwords ... When a voter requests a mail in ballot they leave a password and if it gets stolen in the mail the thief wont know the password to write on it...

Though I miss the cookies, I vote at home where I can look up each issue and be sure that I understand the question, and that I'm voting the way I want. Then I can easily drop my ballot in a drop box the next time I am out and about. The fraud occurred here when someone stole ballots from people's mailboxes. Whether you vote by mail or drop box or in person would make no difference. Every eligible voter in Colorado receives a ballot in the mail. You may then choose how you vote. Should your ballot be questioned, they would contact you to ask you to cure ( verify) your information. At that point, you would know to tell them that wasn't your ballot. You would then still be able to vote in person or by mail in ballot because they would send you a new one. If there wasn't time to mail it, you would be allowed to pick up a new ballot at the County Clerk's office ( verified by your signature ) When voting in person, your signature is instantly verified by the election judge present at the polling station, ( cookie lady) from their list. It's a safe system any way you vote. Enjoy your cookies 🙂

In 2018, he ran as an incumbent for Arapahoe County Clerk and Recorder against his employee, Joan Lopez, and publicly declared himself a winner, until concerned citizens in Arapahoe County contacted the media about thousands of uncounted votes in his office. After they were counted, it was found his opponent actually won the election. Later, ideologue Matt Crane tried to get that job back and failed. Recently, he was hired as Executive Director of the Colorado County Clerks Association. I do not trust the guy as far as I can throw him. I believe he is gunning for Democrat Jena Griswold's job, and will get any press he can to undermine confidence in her and increase his own visibility. Griswold has been an amazing Secretary of State --- I just hope she, and Democrats statewide, keep one eye on Crane. In any event, anyone who commits voter fraud needs to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

Do you understand how remote many people are from voting sites in Colorado? If we have snow on election day (not unlikely - actually far more likely than voter fraud), a good number of people would not be able to vote at all.
Modern mail-in voting is much more secure than old fashioned in-person precinct voting... more paper trail. The reporters got it wrong, 1 known ballot got through- the rest were caught before the envelopes were opened

I would probably be asked to cure my ballot every time. As I get older my signature continues to change. There’s got to be a better way to verify. Possibly a unique identification code that is sent via email or otherwise separate from the ballot itself.

Colorado has been an all mail ballott state ince 2013. For big elections you have the option of in person voting but the wait is at least an hour and the ballotts can be long. I love how we do elections...no drama and secure. 3 votes out of Millions and someone's gonna get the book thrown at them for doing it.
Colorado has been doing this for years. In all the years this has been going on we have only had 11 cases of voter fraud. Only 3% of our population votes in person. We like how we do it.

I was sent 2 ballots. The DMV let me get my DL renewed online. I had to answer several questions. One was do you want to register. I had to answer yes. I will recommend they have a "already registered". I could tell the DL ballot, it included my full middle name.
