Wow! This is incredible. I’m a huge Tomac fan, definitely wasn’t expecting to see his truck on this channel but I’m all for it. Incredible build and video!
ET3 fan here also! I wasn't expecting to see a vehicle of his on this show either! Let alone SEMA!! Eli is going to love this truck. Looks and sounds incredible
I was brought home in a 1980 Z28 Camaro with Hurst t-tops. It's dark claret with silver and charcoal stripes. It's sitting in my driveway right now. Thanks dad!
I appreciate that you’re a TH-camr that won’t run another person’s shit like it was yours. You have respect and being a grown up you know the limits. I love your videos, great content
Badass truck. I love this guys enthusiasm for his own work. Few can appreciate what goes into a straight body and tight consistent gaps. It’s usually overlooked by everyone except people that does that type of work. Most people just see the flawless paint job and none of what it takes for the clear coat to take the credit.
Love the history, especially that Eli came home in the truck as a baby. Makes me wish I kept my Z 28 my son Levi came home in back in 1988. We’re big Eli fans and watch all his races! The old school gun rack is cool but would have liked the door wing windows in function. See you soon at A 1 Eli, we all missed you after last years injury. Superb work Gentleman! P.S. Eli’s race winning Yamaha is blue too.
I have a 58 Apache also but with the big wrap around rear window...this is motivation here for me!!!It was my Dad's Friend truck my Dad bought it from him in the early 70's!!
His other red 3/5 build has the same thing going. I'd cerakote all the grey you see in this build to contrast with the super shinny blue. Stunning truck regardless.
ELevation must be the key. Great job man super tasteful not overdone or tacky. Hard to pull off Color is incredible. Love me some PPG products they make great stuff!
That 'Dakota Digital' dash cluster is beautiful hell this whole build and the history behind it is beautiful great job to all the builders and artisans that worked on this build and great job to you Sean and your guys at AutoTopia L.A. for another top notch show keep up the good work guys and gals👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾✌🏾
My dad had a burgundy one with a white top and rear stripe on the bed. Small block 350 with Turbo 350 transmission and 4:11 gears. It was a beast in the 1/8th... freeway driving was another story😂😂
Wow! Very nice. Clean and tastefully done. As a gear head, a mountain biker that's been riding since the '90s when John was killing it and then later got back into moto when Eli turned pro, I want to see ET's reaction to this beauty. The #3 Yamaha would look great in the back.
Mitch had to bring up the alternator. Lol. Good one! Love this truck and little touches like the turn signals wired to the headlamps. You even managed a tunnel blip before he takes it on the circuit and got the brakes diagnosed.
1/8" toe in is correct as far as I'm concerned. Straight axles especially. The 1/8" toe in will get you started at the very least. Great build, very nice truck and while I'm not a blue fan, this is very nice.
1/8 of an inch sounds fine, send it! Maybe in a track car you can go with a tie out to increase turning response at expense of stability, nice paint again
This truck is sweet my old coworker has a truck like this that he built back in the early 80s was sort of a teal green color he’s good friends with Kindig, i’m gonna send this video on to him!
I just watched this one here at work (not signed in 😂). Wow, just wow, everything these guy's touch turns to gold.....or beautiful blue trucks 😂 Simply gorgeous! Eli, you lucky sum b.... 😎👊🏽
58 Apache fleetside with the rap around window was my first truck I ever bought myself. 283, 3 speeding the column, Later put a 454 and a 4 speed in it.
Love the truck and he's been the wife and I favorite rider for years. I disagree with the one piece windows though. I like the wing glass thats not pointed✌️
Love Tomac, love the truck, was loving this guy …. And then he said he hates wing windows. So now I hate him. On both my first gen Dodge and my bmw 2002, the wing windows are my favorite features.
2 LSX 454 crate engines. 625hp, and 720hp LSX 454 R. That's the 625hp lsx 454. The 720 will have an R on the valve cover, came with a high rise intake manifold, carburetor, 13:1 compression that runs on race gas. That truck should be making no less than 540 to the wheels.
I'd never know it, & wouldn't know him if I was talking to him, but he's got an awesome truck... that color combo is cool af...if I had one more vehicle to build, I'd use it... maybe throw in some pinstripes to make it a little different... wouldn't want to carbon copy or anything, but it definitely works...
Now after watching the Work Truck C10, and watching this one again at a bar here in Florida for a MX race that Tomac might be at? Maybe? Ill look tomorrow, but now I'm curious about the difference of sound in the cab.....? Mine is loud inside, but it didn't seem like we were yelling 🤔 at me know Shawn
Takes decades to master this craft, need more like him Came out great...if it were mine only change Id make is keep the brightwork, trim and polished wheels (lip too) Dont matter..... Im betting that seat gives larger/taller guys an opp to drive it. Friend has a tricked out 58? I cant drive the darn thing Gun rack is classic!
OMG!!! I love this truck. There might be one thing I would change. Maybe. Color match the spokes of the wheels to that gray. I'm not a big chrome guy on cars/trucks. Harleys, oh yes. But not 4 wheels. And, again that is a maybe. Incredible truck!!!!!!!
Awesome build! I love that color!! Hey Sean, just curious if you ever come across any 70 El Camino builds? I have a 70 Elco but have only seen 2 Elcos on your channel, one 67 and one 64. Any love for the Elco community?! Lol 😂 Keep up the excellent work ma man!!!
HELLO EVERYONE PEACE LOVE AND GOOD HEALTH TO YOU ALL ANOTHER GREAT VEHICLE ANOTHER GREAT STORY THANK YOU FOR POSTING 😎👍❤️🤍💙🙏🇺🇸 Joe from NOSTALGIA HOT RODS 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸 Thank you for posting Have a great day everyone
Fantastic build guys, hats off! Not sure if this was a customer request or slight over sight. The only this shiny are the inner wheels, I would have left the original badges on to pull the wheels in to the mix. The other .02 piece would be the featers on the bed that are grey. I think they should have been blue. The grey makes them look to pronounced much like the storage tube on a fuel tanker truck. Wicked looking truck all aside on my two points.
Only thing I would change is to either do the letters on the tailgate in the gray or leave them blue and do the banner around them in gray. Other than that it is a beautiful looking truck and I hope eli and john enjoy the hell out of it.

He doesn’t like to brag.. good to see someone doing it for him.. this will look good next to the GT3RS
Instead of mitch payton, it's mitch painting.
Same. Sweet truck!
Fellow Eli fan .... He has great taste in cars. This is cool to see not much of his personal life out there.
Good luck n 24 Eli,
Great to have you back! Your truck is badass too!
People drool over the 70’s C-10. To me the Apache is styling heaven for a pickup. This build has style to the max.
58-59 Apaches are absolutely stunning when done to this level!
Love Tomac and the story behind the truck! My dad brought me home from the hospital in the 68 RS/Z28 that he gave me!! Makes it so sentimental!
I was brought home in a 1980 Z28 Camaro with Hurst t-tops. It's dark claret with silver and charcoal stripes. It's sitting in my driveway right now. Thanks dad!
Damn that's nice! Eli has done a few things, in fact he's pretty good on a Vespa.
Wow! just when loved Eli as a motorcrosser in even a bigger fan now lol
I appreciate that you’re a TH-camr that won’t run another person’s shit like it was yours. You have respect and being a grown up you know the limits. I love your videos, great content

Tomac is the man and has a badass truck
Love the history, especially that Eli came home in the truck as a baby. Makes me wish I kept my Z 28 my son Levi came home in back in 1988. We’re big Eli fans and watch all his races! i love this truck. i really appreciate that it's not all blinged out. it's perfect. The color combo is excellent.
Just something about matte gray/black trim, grills, etc. mixed with a badass paint job that make stuff stand out to me. LOVE it !
His other red 3/5 build has the same thing going. I'd cerakote all the grey you see in this build to contrast with the super shinny blue. Stunning truck regardless.
This truck was a fun build! And yes it made 480hp to the wheels at 6000ft elevation and stock gm injection. Super fun to drive!
ELevation must be the key. Great job man super tasteful not overdone or tacky. Hard to pull off
Color is incredible. Love me some PPG products they make great stuff!

Thank you and I love what they did with this one and the story behind it

What a beautiful truck! These guys are the best! I love the Crazy Painters!
Metal work is incredible. All of Mitch build are really good craftsmanship. 👍
Mitch had to bring up the alternator. Lol. Good one! Love this truck and little touches like the turn signals wired to the headlamps. You even managed a tunnel blip before he takes it on the circuit and got the brakes diagnosed.
LOVE that blue.
That is one insane Chevy Apache build...wow!
Oh...the owner is up in the mountains...so my bet is the gun rack holds an HCAR .30-06...or it should.
Trucks used to be for work…but this one is 100% for fun today👍🏻 Nice
Great build. Awesome color choices and just so well done all the way through. Rifle racks a must 😊
Now that classy and elegant yet absolutely wicked. Beautiful build
The best Amarican Channel. Congratulations Shawn, good to see you again.
Seriously nice bodywork and that paint... well done.👍😎
Another level of respect for the goat🙌 tomac still amazes us off the bike!
Eli knows what’s up ! Great looking and sounding Chevy. Great color combo too.. super nice build….
1/8" toe in is correct as far as I'm concerned. Straight axles especially. The 1/8" toe in will get you started at the very least. Great build, very nice truck and while I'm not a blue fan, this is very nice.

Chuck did so good on this build! And the paint job is absolutely gorgeous!
I just watched this one here at work (not signed in 😂). Wow, just wow, everything these guy's touch turns to gold.....or beautiful blue trucks 😂 Simply gorgeous! Eli, you lucky sum b.... 😎👊🏽
Shawn another great episode. Crazy Painters are awsome, always do incredible great job. Greetings
Love the color & the metal work is amazing!
Oh man, that is a good looking truck!
Patina is ok, but that is a thing of beauty.
Sure is a pretty build
Shaun...you're the perfect host. This guy knows his paint!
Wow! Just found my dream truck 😍 well done 👏🏽
Saw this truck in Mini Warriors 4. So sweet
The leather wrapped wheel tubs was such a cool touch, I’ve never seen that before!
this truck is straight up awesome
never been a truck person but after all these trucks I want one
It looks really good. They put a lot of work in it and it shows!
58 Apache fleetside with the rap around window was my first truck I ever bought myself. 283, 3 speeding the column, Later put a 454 and a 4 speed in it.
I knew that was Eli Tomac’s truck wow beautiful machine! Great video and build !
Love the color of the truck and the color of stain of the wood. There are some serious hours put into this truck. 🏁🏆
That color is sick
And it’s a stock marina blue from an old Vette
17:22 ... that blinker makes my day.
Damn that exhaust note is sweet
Another one of those have to have one some day. I love apaches
Paint job is marvelous.
Super clean Apache. I would love to own one of these trucks one day.
Fantastic & amazing story.
Great body and paint work and a beautiful color choices for that pick up❤👍👍🤙
That’s just stunning
Nice build!💙
Love the truck and he's been the wife and I favorite rider for years. I disagree with the one piece windows though. I like the wing glass thats not pointed✌️
Sweet, The ultimate truck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Awesome build man!
Always enjoy your videos! Hopefully you can make one of my truck when is done!
Such a Badass Truck and Rider 🤘
The best project for a guy who was off Season unfortunately. Hope Star Yamaha build him a YZ 250 2 Stroke!
Love Tomac, love the truck, was loving this guy …. And then he said he hates wing windows. So now I hate him. On both my first gen Dodge and my bmw 2002, the wing windows are my favorite features.
From what I was always told 1/8 inch sounds right
Nice Chevy 👍👍👍

Another beautiful ride.
I have no idea who that guy is, but he's got an awesome truck...
Eli is a super cross legend
I'd never know it, & wouldn't know him if I was talking to him, but he's got an awesome truck... that color combo is cool af...if I had one more vehicle to build, I'd use it... maybe throw in some pinstripes to make it a little different... wouldn't want to carbon copy or anything, but it definitely works...
Supercross & Motocross legend.
ET3
Hope to meet one day before he retires.
Yeah, he said that already, doesn't mean anymore to me now than it did when that other guy said it... he's still got a cool truck though...
Love the old school gun racks!
Gotta love that they left the gun racks in the back glass it is one bad truck
Mitch needs his own show. Seems like I’ve seen him on a show before 🤔
He’s got passion and enthusiasm for days!
BEAUTIFUL Truck.
Takes decades to master this craft, need more like him
Came out great...if it were mine only change Id make is keep the brightwork, trim and polished wheels (lip too)
Dont matter..... Im betting that seat gives larger/taller guys an opp to drive it. Friend has a tricked out 58? I cant drive the darn thing
Gun rack is classic!
Gotta love the work on this thing and the gun rack was a must for the owner!
The engine-exhaust sounds lovely, I'd have kept the 'smoothies' as wheels to make it more of a sleeper. 🙂
Such a clean build!!
That’s a thing of beauty
OMG!!! I love this truck. There might be one thing I would change. Maybe. Color match the spokes of the wheels to that gray. I'm not a big chrome guy on cars/trucks. Harleys, oh yes. But not 4 wheels. And, again that is a maybe. Incredible truck!!!!!!!
Beast Mode!!!
Good for Eli 💯
I like how it’s tucking a low offset wheel combo
WOW oh WOW!!!!!!!
I never noticed the vent Windows that’s cool
Awesome build! I love that color!!
Hey Sean, just curious if you ever come across any 70 El Camino builds? I have a 70 Elco but have only seen 2 Elcos on your channel, one 67 and one 64. Any love for the Elco community?! Lol 😂

Have a great day everyone
Learned the string alignment method from my motorcycle and I do something similar for Toe on my old Ford. For Caster/Camber is use a legit tool
What a nice truck! Love it! 😍😍😍
I like exotic cars too,but the rides on autopia are my kind of rides
Be careful with the brakes 😂
Fantastic build guys, hats off! Not sure if this was a customer request or slight over sight. The only this shiny are the inner wheels, I would have left the original badges on to pull the wheels in to the mix. The other .02 piece would be the featers on the bed that are grey. I think they should have been blue. The grey makes them look to pronounced much like the storage tube on a fuel tanker truck. Wicked looking truck all aside on my two points.
This is the type of truck I’m attracted to.
Waiting to win the lottery so I can get these guys to build my 1958
Only thing I would change is to either do the letters on the tailgate in the gray or leave them blue and do the banner around them in gray. Other than that it is a beautiful looking truck and I hope eli and john enjoy the hell out of it.
Would say you could have 50 shades of grey?
This is one sick Apache! Bitchin’!
Really clean build
