Wow im early, great job man as always! Quick question, what is it that you do in elevation, because ive never seen you around and i got curious. Thanks!
@@TylerCarino oh nice! As a sound engineer you have one of the most important jobs but no one notices! I just wanna thank you for doing a great job on the mix!
sick vid man! question, do you just lay the click over the mp3 file of each song in an editing software, or do you not use click? i want to make covers but i’d like to hear the lyrics instead of just using the multitrack. thanks!
Tuning. So important. Gotta let the drum breathe naturally how its designed to. Dont choke it by over tightening. Then just boost a little fundamental, usually around 160hz, cut nasty mids, boost a little highs, and give it a fat compressor. Wallah.
Triggers are just used for gates! We don't sample anything. All live drums! The triggers really help with keeping the gates shut when that drum isn't being played.
This dude is underrated. He deserves a million subscriber!
Means a lot 🙏

We have a monitor console, so I send track down 1/2 and click down 15 and blend into my ears and play along to that. Thats all being tracked as stems
What drum head do you use on the snare (batter side)?
Remo Emperor Coated
How do you get such a responsive/fat snare sound
?
Is it the mix

What trigger module are you using, and are you generally running those samples parallel all of the time?
Triggers are just used for gates! We don't sample anything. All live drums! The triggers really help with keeping the gates shut when that drum isn't being played.
@@TylerCarino Perfect! I love this.
Are you just using your normal pres and patching to key inputs, or... how are you handling this?
@@markkapner yeah, they're just patched to our splits, so every console can take them.

Puresound 20 strand
