For anyone having issues with the gate only going up 1 square on bedrock what you need to do is replace the top row of the top pistons with sticky pistons and leave the bottom row as normal pistons. For some reason it will work once but then the bottom row on the top will get stuck and won't pull up. So replacing the top row on top with sticky works.
Honestly works great im glad someone made one for bedrock its nice because i can have it bigger if i need to it was pretty easy got it to work the first time thanks for this build
Had to switch one of the red-stone repeater located at the button and reverse it around and also switched the solid block to gravel Works though after those fixes :)
I am not a redstone player by any means, but for those of you having the issue where your bottom layer goes up only one block, just place blocks on top of the observers. It worked just fine for me after I did that. If you notice, that's how he has his set up which is also the ground level at 2:13. I don't know this is the issue some of you may have, but I tried. Everyone having issies with this gate, do NOT directly cover the Observer thats going into redstone on slabs for the bottom piston extender. The block directly on top of that observer needs to be empty or it fucks it all up.

I’ve been testing it in my world and I can’t get the same issue as you so all I can recommend is double check everything or try building it again in another world sorry

The redstone torch thing is eluding me. I understand the torches are on off on off all the way up, but the switching each one to the opposite is confusing.

I’m on Bedrock, and this works for me 2/10 times I tried building it…I wouldn’t quite say it’s broken, but it doesn’t always work as it should…How can I increase success with this, and any input on why the varying success rate? It very well could be me, but if it IS me, can someone point me in the right direction to fix this?
@@TomcoTwo A few things, I believe the problem is happening when I try to cover it up and make it look nice🥹 The pistons don’t all raise and lower at the same time, if at all…Sometimes it’s the top, sometimes it’s the bottom…The gate works great though 😌 I just need more experience with Redstone builds, but I’m currently a full time college student, I just play with my daughter 😅 I wasn’t aware I would need a whole separate degree for Minecraft Building 😂 I’ve built entire functioning Game Arenas in games like Ark and Conan before, figured this would be easier…Nope 😁

Bc the res stone cannot be touching ur piston if any blocs touching them they will not open so try putting the block above then and then put the red stone on top it works for me after I watched someone else 😂
I tried on a Sony 5 but without success it only picks up one block... I tried on a mobile and it's excellent and one fine day it stopped working and picks up only one block lol Is there a solution for this? What did I do wrong? I will be happy to hear!❤
At 2:59, the sticky piston and observer. I'm trying to move that part one block down so it doesn't jut out of the ground but it keeps powering on and off once I get it to trigger. Tearing my hair out trying to figure it out. Would appreciate any help in figuring it out. Otherwise the gate worked for me.
@@TomcoTwo I love this gate build! However i got a problem. So everything works. I did a 6 wide gate, but instead of a lever, I used buttons. The stone button had a small delay of about 1.5 secs opening then closing on its own compared to a wood button at 0.8 secs. Help? Lol
I’ve tried to hook up to levers to it, one on the outside to get in and the. Another one to close it once inside;vice versa. Only one of the levers will work at a time to open or close it, I can’t open it with one and close it with the other. Why is that?
Look up a t flip flop feed the t flip flop into the activation piston if you put a button on each side you can run redstone from each button into the t flip flop

Edit: If you just use a falling block it works fine. Just tested in 1.21.2

It works perfectly fine for me except if you accidentally mess up any one piece of restore dust if you place it back every doesn’t work anymore

If you connect it to a button first, then you can use pressure plates, but if you just replace a lever with a pressure plate it won’t work properly

You can search for an alternative lever like a button that can switch on and off with a redstone system but yeah it will eat some space

There’s a video linked in the description that would help you attach buttons to either side of it, id recommend using buttons since they’re easier 👍

your old one was better because of the lever
The old one is better 100%, this is just as simple as I can make one since some people found the old one quite complicated

Because there are two levers, each of those send different redstone signal, if the other one is on, the other one is kinda useless and vice versa
