omg this is the best explanation! Thank you. I was naturally doing the 3 turn at 11oclock and tried to do it at 12o clock per some online tutorials and it felt so unnatural.
As a classically trained musician who is also a figure skater, I actually found this element to be my favorite in the Pre-Bronze patterns, as it IS very rhythmic. However, I found it better to think of it more of a 6/8 timing (123 456), in terms of not rushing the 3-turn.

Waltz can be counted as 1,2,3,4,5,6 OR 1,2,3 - 1,2,3
this is very confusing. timing should be 3beat 4 times?(3/4) and you counted 3+ 3+ 3+ 3 in another video and I think that is the waltz count. but the diagram?on the test sheet shows divided only 1/3 each. also at 7:26 said 3+3+6+6., like 1/3 each. I don't know how supposed to counting?? so should I go 3+3+6+6??

A waltz beat is 3/4. Timing is: 1, 2, 3, 1, 2, 3 or 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. As I explained, each edge is skated for 6 beats with 3 beats in each position. Yes, the diagram is divided into thirds - that is where you change your feet or edge - not where you turn or step. Here is an old diagram from the days of figures that I used in the video when I explained that: www.dropbox.com/s/1qgm0i0s59it1as/Waltz%20Eight%20With%20Beats.pdf?dl=0 It shows you the exact placement of where you should be on the circle for every beat. You'll see that each circle has 18 beats.
