I'm a Ginebra fan, but i'm genuinely happy for Meralco Bolts, especially for Chris Banchero. He finally had an answer to his finals drought against San Miguel Beermen. Dating back to 2015 - 2016, i remember he was playing for Alaska Aces and they had to face multiple finals heartbreaks against Smb. This is his moment of redemption after almost a decade, such a poetic sequence for him.

Very poor play by SBM in that last possession. They all look confused who would take the last shot as if they didnt come from a timeout. Couldve sent it to OT instead gambled a 3pt shot which was taken by f*ckn who, Junemar? Seriously?? Lets admit, his previous 3ptr was just a lucky shot. SMB have enough better shooters to take that f*ckn shot thus ended up to their bigman who was far from the paint! SMH 🤦🏻♂️

@@sfguzmani "Not bad" just because it looked like he overshoot it by a bit. But come on, all odds are on the line and Meralco was about to win it all if that last possession by SMB is missed. Even entire SMB bench didnt look excited to that shot when Junemar released it, meaning even them knew it was a bad shot.

Very lame defense also and poor coaching ability of Jorge Gallent on that last possession of Bolts.After the lucky shot of JMF,MERALCO called a time out..Gallent should anticipated that Newsome will be the inbound receiver and will shoot on that dying seconds,and yet GALLENT let ENCISO guard him on that last 3.3 seconds,GALLENT should put other guy in front of Newsome who can defend him on that possession,besides Newsome can dribble until twice only ang pull the trigger hurriedly which happened in front of the help defense of Trollano who just standing in front of him and just raised his 2 hands while ENCISO was left behind easily by Newsome....what a f**kin' lame defense by SMB!
That game could've been go to OT and SMB win that match but with that kind of defense,SMB must rest...Congrats to MERALCO and KUDOS to NENAD VÜCÏNÌC who assisted much the MERALCO Players,and as far as I know,he is the one who made the championship possible because of his defense tactics and offensive plays...sorry Luigi but you know the truth...FRONT ka lang as a HEAD coach!

Wayback 2016 when Ginebra winning a championship after 8 yrs versus Meralco with the buzzer beating 3 pts by Justin Brownlee that was the first heartbreak lost of Meralco in the finals and the rest is history..But this time Meralco wins with the buzzer beating jumper of Chris Newsome vs not for Ginebra but against an SMC team is very sweet redemption.. Congratulations Meralco bolts!!🎉👏👏🏆

Congratulations to Meralco especially to the championship architect, coach Nenad! In reality, coach Trillo is just an assistant coach. Nenad was the one calling the shots and designing the plays from practice up to the actual games. Meralco management should elevate his status and declare him as Head Coach.
