The S20 for instagram pictures and jogging videos, the perfect blogger/vlogger phone, dare I say it's designed for Samsung's influencers? Not much of a competition when laid out like this, each phone has a clear purpose for their cameras. Full judgement below. 1st, 2nd, 3rd *For Zoom:* P30 Pro is excellent. S20 is blurry. G8X has very low detail, obviously. *Ultrawide:* P30 Pro is very good overall but too much contrast and blue sky in some pictures, I really don't like that. G8X is close behind with nicer exposure in some photos, but too much saturation and HDR in others. S20 is like the G8X but with way too high saturation and green tint. *Aperture mode:* G8X has the best edge detection and blur. S20 not as good colors as the P30 Pro but gets slightly better edge detection. P30 Pro is just a bit behind in edge detection, bad luck? *Portraits:* I can't judge, all 3 struggled. The P30 Pro has a slight green tint. The S20 is way too warm. The G8X is quite pink but probably the best one overall. *Daylight:* P30 Pro is very good, not much else to say. G8X is a bit behind with way too much HDR. S20 sometimes green tint, way too saturated, way too much sharpening and too much HDR. *Night:* P30 very detailed and sharp, in my view most "natural" and pleasant white balance and exposure. S20 good but not as sharp and has some blurry artifacts but better highlight control. G8X can't compete. *Video daylight:* P30 Pro good white balance and colors though reds are a a bit saturated, good stabilisation. G8X close second with better colors but focus pulsing (or stabilisation artifacts?) while running. S20 very good stabilisation but way too cold, saturated sky and poor exposure. *Video night:* P30 Pro has the best details and least noise. S20 is close behind. G8X is not bad but too noisy. *Microphone:* P30 Pro has very full sound with the best noise cancellation. G8X close behind but not as effective noise cancellation. S20 last because it sounds terrible and tinny once noise cancellation kicks in which doesn't even reduce the noise, just removes the lower frequencies of everything. *Selfies daylight:* G8X is excellent. P30 Pro is very close second, hard to tell from 2 samples. S20 is last with too bright and saturated. *Selfies night:* G8X is great. S20 is quite close behind. P30 Pro is alright when there's some light but falls apart as the light gets weaker.

Just returned my s20 as it was not as good as my P20, its got a great screen, but Camera is ok and battery life is worse than my 2 yo P20, so sent it back. Still a great phone overall, just not worth the upgrade for me.
Excellent video. Thank you! The Samsung's pictures are extremely detailed. The LG's daytime video is best. I prefer the daytime colours on the LG most with the P30 second. The Samsung wins for night time. LG is dead last for night time quality. Night time video they're all equally average.
P30 Pro audio is nice if you notice that it lessens ambient sound and keeps the voice sound. I've been using P30 Pro for 2 months now and been recording concerts with it and it does sound detailed.
The P30 Pro is the best, in video with a stabilizer with equal stabilization, it is better than the S20, show it directly. Knowing that the P30 Pro is available around 550/650 € currently.
Imho, the P30 Pro wins it all except for night-time selfie's. Especially the video on the P30 Pro is amazing. Just look at the snow! It looks real! On the Samsung and LG it looks so blue and fake, nasty!

@@cambsflyer42 there are theories that emui 10 makes pictures look worse a bit and Red Skull confirmed this but I've personally used emui 10 from the beginning after I purchased my p30 pro and never used emui 9 so I can not compare and judge.

@@brandonclevert3173 I would suggest you look at other comparison videos that go into more details about the cameras, especially after the update... There's also a setting for selfies in which you can change the color temperature from original to warm or cool, something he didn't mention either...

Turn off the flipping scene optimizer if you want to nitpick for color accuracy!its there for noobs. People that like to be overwhelmed by colors. Not for tech reviewers that nitpick color accuracy. I've been using Samsung for years and I never have the scene optimizer on. Don't spoil the s20 for me with these images in your reviews. At least mention that you have the scene optimizer on.

I think that P30 Pro had the best Camera results - the sharppest Pictures (and on the second place.. was sometime S20 & sometime LG G8X with medium or bad sharppnes in each Picture). Also the P30 Pro had.. the most natural and acurate color looking Photos. The S20msung is oversatturating the collors @$ always in Auto-mode (Pictures, Display Settings.. the hair colour of BTS and so on). And i guess that the all the 3 Phones was 'seeing' the world trough Auto -mode settings (Auto ColorTemp, Focus, Light, -ISO) in Camera App!!? Becouse the Camera App is also ajusted different in Auto- on each Phone.. (more Natural & Sharpp or more Saturated & 'mehh) on the S20.. and the LG. From where -also- the different results.

A lot of people here in India are reporting camera quality and focusing issues with their G8x. Here in its running on android 10 out the box. Are you facing any camera issues after update...??
Concidering the P30 Pro has been out a while now, it holds its own, and floors it over the other cameras. It's night shooting is unmatched, as is its Leica Lens system. When you think you can get on contract a P3P for half the price of the S20 it's a no brainer. I used to stick with Samsung Galaxy Flagship phones for years, and tbh I found each phone crammed with third party useless apps', and I found very little difference from each, apart from minute screen size differences. Going for the P30 Pro was the best move ever, and even a good friend who has the S10 admits it can't even come close to the P3P for low light shots, and basically in general. Trouble is Samsung has such a die hard following like iPhone users, that even if something does a better job, their dismiss it and still say theirs does a better job. Lol, this has been the only time I've written something about a phone, but from eight years using Samsung phones, yes their very good, to say otherwise is foolish, but as iphones, from my experience, there terribly over rated as the begin & end all of Andriod Smart Phones!

Haha same. I just got my G8X. Honestly, the rear cameras were better on my last phone,the LG V40, but the front camera is pretty good on the G8X. Bought it for the same Dual Screen (For gaming)

Too bad LG no longer sells it phones in my country, so I bought the Samsung Note 10 recently, but as soon as I saw reviews for V60 and only then realizing there was this capacity for dual screen in ths G8X and V50, I immediately regretted my decision. I currently use two phones (V20 and Note) to play and browse or play two games at once.. Simultaneously holding the two phones. I could've just got the G8X. 😐

I have to decide between the P30 Pro and S20 Plus for my upgrade later this month and camera is very important for me... considering the price difference it looks like the P30 Pro is the better option since there isnt much difference between that and the S20... Yeah, saturation tends to be a bit crazy as you mentioned - mostly if you leave that dumb AI on. Turn it off and you will notice the difference immediately. Anyway, G8x makes mostly understated pictures but still can oversaturate - depending on the scene...
Selfies are excellent on LG G8X as compared to other 2 phones! Really liked your video and yes coming from India because of 70% discount on this lg phone!!!!! 🔥

Sir I think except night photos from main camera all other photos and videos are great in lg g8x. I am from India I got LG g8x at 20000inr that is 268 dollar. It's totally new and I am very impressed. Loved dual screen as well
I think they all look very good but there is clearly a difference in white balance. It might not be a bad idea to white balance these before doing a side by side comparison, just for the sake of apples to apples. Good vid as always!

I couldn't agree more, I'm a semi pro photographer, and no smart phone comes close to my full frame Canon gear, but for phone quality Samsung has meet its match. There's only so much you can do with a tiny aperture and CCD chip, and I think it's coming close to that limit now.
S20 5G .... aside of being 5G, has infinitely more customisable camera settings, than Huawei. If you are after less saturated pics, switch to camera pro settings, or customise the screen setting. The S20 autofocus, for some unknown reason "hunts", hence if you switch from matrix metering to centreweighed, or spot ... the autofocus will improve considerably. I would have thought, that with the next Samsung firmware update, this will be resolved.

@@RedskullPro I really like your videos but it would be more helpful imo if you turned the AI off for at least SOME of the shots. Many people going as far as researching phones on TH-cam might be able to turn off the AI.

Turn off the flipping scene optimizer if you want to nitpick for color accuracy!its there for noobs. People that like to be overwhelmed by colors. Not for tech reviewers that nitpick color accuracy.
I've been using Samsung for years and I never have the scene optimizer on. Don't spoil the s20 for me with these images in your reviews. At least mention that you have the scene optimizer on.

I think that P30 Pro had the best Camera results - the sharppest Pictures (and on the second place.. was sometime S20 & sometime LG G8X with medium or bad sharppnes in each Picture).
Also the P30 Pro had.. the most natural and acurate color looking Photos.
The S20msung is oversatturating the collors @$ always in Auto-mode (Pictures, Display Settings.. the hair colour of BTS and so on).
And i guess that the all the 3 Phones was 'seeing' the world trough Auto -mode settings (Auto ColorTemp, Focus, Light, -ISO) in Camera App!!?
Becouse the Camera App is also ajusted different in Auto- on each Phone.. (more Natural & Sharpp or more Saturated & 'mehh) on the S20.. and the LG.
From where -also- the different results.

Concidering the P30 Pro has been out a while now, it holds its own, and floors it over the other cameras.
It's night shooting is unmatched, as is its Leica Lens system.
When you think you can get on contract a P3P for half the price of the S20 it's a no brainer.
I used to stick with Samsung Galaxy Flagship phones for years, and tbh I found each phone crammed with third party useless apps', and I found very little difference from each, apart from minute screen size differences.
Going for the P30 Pro was the best move ever, and even a good friend who has the S10 admits it can't even come close to the P3P for low light shots, and basically in general.
Trouble is Samsung has such a die hard following like iPhone users, that even if something does a better job, their dismiss it and still say theirs does a better job.
Lol, this has been the only time I've written something about a phone, but from eight years using Samsung phones, yes their very good, to say otherwise is foolish, but as iphones, from my experience, there terribly over rated as the begin & end all of Andriod Smart Phones!
i used to be a hardcore samsung fan as well... but year after year...same phone with barely any upgrades...

Haha same. I just got my G8X. Honestly, the rear cameras were better on my last phone,the LG V40, but the front camera is pretty good on the G8X. Bought it for the same Dual Screen (For gaming)

Too bad LG no longer sells it phones in my country, so I bought the Samsung Note 10 recently, but as soon as I saw reviews for V60 and only then realizing there was this capacity for dual screen in ths G8X and V50, I immediately regretted my decision.
I currently use two phones (V20 and Note) to play and browse or play two games at once.. Simultaneously holding the two phones. I could've just got the G8X. 😐

I have to decide between the P30 Pro and S20 Plus for my upgrade later this month and camera is very important for me... considering the price difference it looks like the P30 Pro is the better option since there isnt much difference between that and the S20... I do like the portrait mode on the S20 though.

Yeah, saturation tends to be a bit crazy as you mentioned - mostly if you leave that dumb AI on. Turn it off and you will notice the difference immediately.
Anyway, G8x makes mostly understated pictures but still can oversaturate - depending on the scene...

Sir I think except night photos from main camera all other photos and videos are great in lg g8x. I am from India I got LG g8x at 20000inr that is 268 dollar. It's totally new and I am very impressed. Loved dual screen as well

I think they all look very good but there is clearly a difference in white balance. It might not be a bad idea to white balance these before doing a side by side comparison, just for the sake of apples to apples. Good vid as always!

I couldn't agree more, I'm a semi pro photographer, and no smart phone comes close to my full frame Canon gear, but for phone quality Samsung has meet its match.
There's only so much you can do with a tiny aperture and CCD chip, and I think it's coming close to that limit now.

S20 5G .... aside of being 5G, has infinitely more customisable camera settings, than Huawei. If you are after less saturated pics, switch to camera pro settings, or customise the screen setting. The S20 autofocus, for some unknown reason "hunts", hence if you switch from matrix metering to centreweighed, or spot ... the autofocus will improve considerably. I would have thought, that with the next Samsung firmware update, this will be resolved.

If you turn off the scene optimizer the pictures will look more normal. You can also edit them with snapseed and just lower the saturation a bit
