they would take them as slave labour. UAE at UNGA tried to present falsely ,all Syrians in their country as refugees to up their numbers, regardless of whether they were there for generationsor moved there for a job etc.
      Those cunning bastards!

as a Muslim myself i try my hardest to contribute to helping my people (even if i am not from those countries) but it disgusts me how countries such as the UAE just throw money away when they could be helping these people get their country back by having a word with the government or just giving them homes in the UAE because i'm pretty sure they have billions. And as a fact i'm pretty sure Qatar is the richest country in the world, where does the money go to? oh right the world cup coming up

Andy Lelong Bro The UAE welcomed almost 1 million Syrians!! but not as refugees , they don't treat them as refugees! They treat them as an immigrants , So that's why .

I wonder how many of these refugees or their children will end up hating their new country. The cultures and ideologies are so different I think this could end up being a bad experience for Canada and the refugees. It would be better for the refugees if more Muslim countries opened their doors and let them in at least they would be in a similar culture.

The difference with Canada is that Europeans aren't the native peoples here, the Aboriginals are and they were nearly wiped out. Everybody in Canada who isn't an Aboriginal is descendant from an immigrant, so you don't really have the national far right anti immigrant voice here because essentially everybody came from an immigrant, whether it was their parents, grandparents or great grandparents, with Europe this isn't the case.

SlypherSpoons If Canada didn't accept immigrants though the population would be in decline, white people simply aren't having enough babies, UK population would also be in decline, who pays for all those services that you enjoy with a rapidly ageing and dwindling workforce? immigrants simply are needed based on the simply fact that white people in the western world seemed to have stopped wanting to produce babies at the replacement rate.

The BBC was doing a similar report on a family the British government rescued from Jordan camps, but something quite terrible happened. John Sweeney of the bbc reported in newsnight in the briefest of updates that the family of Syrians he was following were in the British legal system, within months of arrival three males in family who had a cultural inclination to be rapey had done just that, they raped a girl in the park and all too predictably the authorities covered up. I have to credit the work of John Sweeney for the public service of at least respecting the British people who deserve to be Informed.

There are so many inaccuracies and omissions though, that it renders it as just propaganda. I mean, it's hard to think they have so little knowledge of Canada to not understand some important issues. It is futile to mention them, they're well known.
Just to mention a couple: Canada is not a vast land. Maybe for bears. People don't want to live much above the 45th parallel, so they all flock to just a few cities along the southern border and fully half come to Toronto, a city bursting at the seems. There isn't enough housing and land to build unless we take over prime agricultural land and pave it over.
Canada is running big deficits to finance all these social spending and our resources are priced low at the moment and when they are not, Americans and Europeans like to import from their more important friends, like the Saudis and tell us we should put wind mills instead of taking cheap natural gas from the ground.
With protectionism taking over the world, ever so slowly, and our (already diminishing) export sectors bound to suffer, we can only pray that all these people will somehow integrate and find meaningful jobs.

Middle easterb countries are, first of all, mostly all developing, they do not have the resources to support and house these refugees. Second of all, almost THREE MILLION syrian refugees have crossed into Lebanon (where I live) and are receiving aid in any way the government can offer, and are receiving volunteer work as well. Lebanon's government barely has enough resources to sustain its own population, let alone millions of refugees. Lebanon is now overpopulated. Iraq is in a war, so it can't help either. Thousands of syrian refugees have fled to jordan as well, these refugees have gone to literally any country they can. Why shouldn't Canada help? Canada is underpopulated and has more than enough resources to aid them. Why would you dump them on developing countries? As if they didn't have enough problems to begin with. The middle east has more than enough problems without having to deal with rapid influx of syrian refugees

the BBC have found a family who want to integrate, I can find them thousands upon thousands that don't.
The UN made a very detailed report about the cost of taking in refugees and show that it's 13 times cheaper and more efficient to send recourses to them outside of war zones in areas they are familiar with.

When you hear the word "refugee" you immediately have an opinion, one way or another. You might have mixed feelings, but it's reminders like this that throw all that aside and shows you the unobscurable truth: they are people like you, families like yours, and even if you can't understand their language or customs, they just want to live like we do. It's these kinds of reminders and the reception of Canadians in this video that make me immensely proud to be a Canadian, and miss it more each day.

the title is sh*t and the whole thing is a propaganda but i don't get it why would someone dislike it. This is a way how it can be done. Families with big hearts take in other families. They do not force the refugees on the rest of the people they take care of them.

'They already feel they belong here': invader mindset. Funny, I spent 2 years in Turkey and 2 years in UAE and I never felt I 'belonged there'. I always knew it was not my land, my country nor my people.

How is that invader mindset? They lost their homes and safety back in their original country. Something you will never understand.
