But it’s all good cause soon I’ll be locd again. I hate dealing with my natural hair so that’s where I messed up. It was super long but it broke off due to not really caring for it properly. So as long as your doing that it’ll be fine.

I’ve seen people with bra strap-waist length locs finish with shoulder length hair while some with shorter locs or just about the same length, retain length or have even longer hair than the locs. How does that work?😭
Ive had my locs for 10 years and I know that taking them out you lose hair but its been hard taking care of my hair because of not knowing good products for my hair and some pieces falling out, should I took the leap and take it out, im crying just thinking of the shortage Im gonna have🙁
Currently combing mine out too. I’d just say take how ever much time you need! I’ve done it before in the past and tried to do it in a short time-frame. All Ima say is that I was in the bathroom mirror with one section left, having a mental breakdown and holding scissors up to my head😂. Go slow lol

Thank you so much! And honestly I have no idea, Im not too into the specifics of my hair but i can tell you that it’s super thick! My mother specializes in natural hair and she is a big help in maintaining the strength and health of my hair! She was the ONLY person who interlocked them AND I ONLY used her products on my hair down to the shampoo and edge control!
Hey @astrolothot it depends more on the thickness and age of the dreads the thicker you have them and the shorter youve had them the more hair you keep. Ive done it twice now and with the thick ones i retained most of my length, only had them in for about a year this time xx
@@astrolothot182 just keep them in for a long time so that it can grow more longer then when you comb them out it still be like half the length or so !!!

If that’s your goal make sure you take GREAT care of your hair! There were plenty of people i seen who weren’t so lucky with the comb out
Just keep your hair in twists and get them unwisted and redone every 3 or 4 months.
