Some things that they missed in the game, here we go:
1.Ki charge aura color, when youre in super sayan the aura color is blue, it should be yellow, like in the anime, this is something iconic.
2.The super attacks after you do.a melee combo have a little delay, need to be tweaked for a better connection with melee combos to keep the damage flow continously.
3.The aura of the main characters(not villains, just the protagonists) when youre fighting them as enemies should be the same as if you were playing with that characters, blue or yellow, (depending on the transormation state), not red. To be more explicit, when you are fighting as goku vs trunks at the start of the Cell Saga, trunks aura when he charges up is red,it should not be red, it should be blue or yellow, as I said earlier, depending on the transformation state.
4. The game should have an option in the setting where you can turn blood on or off. Like cmon guys most of us want.
Hope they fix them.

The reason their aura is red is because they are a higher level. That's why some of the smaller encounters have red aura too. It's just to signify the difference in power. A blue aura means they are lower level.

The same studio that made the ground work for ff7 remake, the same studio that made the greatest fighting game story Mode of all time in storm 4, bad animation? I suggest you check "sasuke the last storm 4 ultimate jutsu" on youtube, i dont think any other studio has the eye for their style, they are the best at what they do.
The visual quality of DBZ is all over the place. The scenes you see in this video were directed by absolute industry legends and show DBZ at its peak (except for the Trunks scene). Of course it's going to look better than anything Cc2 could slap together. However, what you get in DBZ Kakarot is nice consistent, steady quality throughout the whole thing.
As a newcomer to dragon ball z. Is this game for me? Or do I need to watch a hundreds of hours of Dragon ball anime first to understand the story?
I know I need to get around to watching the original Dragon Ball series. Then the sequel that is Dragon Ball Z Kai, I know kai version cuts out alot of the filler from the original Dragon Ball Z series. Then there's the dragon ball z movies too on top of all that. Thats a hell of alot of hours watching anime just to understand what the hells going on.
It's literally the anime in videogame format.
This game plays through all of the events of dbz,so even if you haven't watched the series,this game goes through the events of the anime
You don't need to watch dragon ball to understand Z you should be fine playing this game. Seeing the anime being played out in 3D for the first time must be a nice experience
*General DBZ Newbie Guide:* You can skip Dragon Ball (which is great aside from the nudity) if you really, really want to dive into Z. Kai is excellent, but it does change a few details that create continuity errors with Super. You can skip all of the movies. The only movie that is canon is the 2019 Broly, which is tied to Dragon Ball Super, not Z.
You need to watch it first in my honest opinion. The game doesn't quite hit the nail on the head in terms of dialog and emotion within that dialog.

I mean when it comes to recreate the iconic scene between Goku & vegeta beam struggle dbz burst limit is one of the best cutscenes
the 3D will never be able to replicate the intensity created in old school animation, the choppy framerate, the colors, all the speed lines and exagerated expressions done in 2D, will always cause a bigger impact on the viewer
unless they pull an ArcSys and do 3D animation frame by frame while mixing it with 2D, stretching out and moving parts to create perspectives otherwise impossible in 3D, that's why FighterZ is the best DBZ will ever look in 3D
That moment when you only recognize the DBZ Abriged voice of Cell instead of the original one
They really phoned in these performances this time. I would too if had to do this all over again for like the 20th time.

CC2 has always made great anime based games. I loved them when I played the .Hack games and I still do with all their releases.
Even with all the tech used today the original anime scenes are still the best. Finely animated.
I wish the transformation scenes would have stuck with the anime version. Every transformation in Dragon Ball Z should be epic and dramatic even in the freaking game!

They sure put a lot of effort into it
I imagine games that have super easy difficulty is because they rushed their game development to get the game out fast or on a low budget, saves them spending time adjusting it and developing enemy AI of various difficulties, and means people of all ages can play right out the door, shows incompetence of the dev team or constraints from the publisher, correct me if im wrong.

Literally E V E R Y dbz game for the past decade has recreated the SAME collection of iconic scenes in the same goddamn way, and yet people treat it like an unprecedented feature every time a game does it again. I cant for the life of me understand this.
This game has like the color schemes and style of fighterz (which made every character beautiful) and the cgi combat of xenoverse. I’m having so much fun looking at and playing this game it’s perfect.!!!!!
I really wish that all these reviewers would stop comparing this game to the anime when most of the source material is derived from the manga..compare it to the book and you'll see it's not a different and people are making it
There are parts that bugged me. But I really like how its paced like the comic. It's more tense and immediate
