The performance looked so amazing! You can tell how much hard work, energy, sweat, and tears goes into the performance. Orchestra used to be a huge part of my life when I was younger and watching the director has made me miss my own director back then. They were strict but encouraging, and in the end it’s all to put on a great show. Everyone who took part in the show can feel like they truly gave their all and it shows in their reviews as well. I hope to watch more Korean musicals in the future!

The story is about Empress Myeongseong, the last ruler of the Joseon dynasty before Japanese invasion. It's a beautiful original Korean musical (not a licensed other language production like man others). You need to check out Kim So-hyun (soprano musical actress who plays the main role of Empress ) performing the last number, Stand Up People or "백성이여 일어나라" (search it in hangul, there is no English title). i miss performing in the orchestra especially if its a stage play!! remembering my first performance. It was Miss Saigon and it was a school edition but remembering it back, it made me cried sooo much because of how i worked too much and was tired from all the rehearsals ... when will this pandemic end?! i want to go back to that feeling!
My first korean musical is "Return: The Promise of the Day" because I am a fan of Xiumin (EXO). The story is sad and warm just like this. Hope I can watch this someday
