    I have learned how to use docker and kubernetes this is the way to go. Google has a full suite of services and the support to back it. I will eventually begin using Anthos for Multicloud setup particularly for on premises. Can’t wait to show my work. Thank you all 🙏🏽.

    Can you explain the different uses for deployments, ReplicaSets, StatefulSets, pods, CronJobs?
    How does Kubernetes handle persistence?
    What are services and ingresses used for?
    When would you use something like a ConfigMap or a secret?
    What is a pod affinity used for?
    Can you give an example of when to use an Init Container?
    What is a sidecar container? Can you give a use case for why you would use one?

    Hi priyanka. Can you describe what is the purpose of the storage of the K8S master (in the control plane)? Does it store (cache) the container image? Or is it simply the configuration which is stored there?

    • @ahmetb
      @ahmetb 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      It stores the Kubernetes API objects e.g. YAMLs you apply yourself or others.

      It stores the state of the cluster, what has been changed and what is desired/actual state.. Simply its the brain of cluster..

    If you are just a single developer working with a single company in a highly specialized app, then choose Google App Engine (GAE) instead of GKE.

    Pretty useful considering a lot of computers with containers by a lot of developers. It'll be the biggest helping hand on large scale data management in cloud.
