I feel like this album was a response to some people saying there was “too much rap” and that Skz wasn’t very vocal on previous albums. This was a middle finger to that, and I am here for it. My fav is Cover Me, mostly because it’s the first time I really heard Skz just belt it out, full out release, and Seungmin and Chan do it beautifully. Love the whole set tho. 🖤🔥
You should react to the album intro, they explain the process and making of all of the songs + the meaning, I think you'll find it very interesting even though you aren't a fan of the members itself
I like the members, I'm just not interested in them doing non-music stuff. The intro could be interesting though. I just have to see if I can squeeze in the time on the weekend somehow....

Even if you don't react to it, it's worth it to watch whenever you can. They talk music. I totally get not being into their non-music stuff. I am like that with pretty much every other group I listen to..much as I like the music I can't get into their other content. But the intros and the mv making offs (Skz have started to do docu series as well, which also show the process of how they do things). As a theatre maker, I am always very interested in seeing all that and since you're a musician...I can recommend the intros.
And can I just take the opportunity to say how much I appreciate that its clear you know what you're talking about when it comes to music, but you never make a point of "telling" us how much you know. It just shows in small comments. You dont brag. I really like that.
I'm totally in love with Cover me. I was on a train back home when I heard it on Spotify. The train was fully sold out and full of loud people, yet I started tearing up.

Thank you... yea its a cool album. Really really good and great mix of songs. Its my first time to listen to a full Stray Kids album so, yea its great.
Stray Kids once again dropped a banger album - I swear the kids don't miss. The minute I heard the teaser for Megaverse I was buzzing with excitement. It's still my favorite on the album (all the texture in the production and the way voices seem to be coming from every direction), but the rock version of Rock (LALALALA) really surprised me in a good way. And Hyunjin is really an exceptional songwriter (I'm glad he is doing more and getting involved in the recording process) because Cover Me was so moving. Blind Spot was also another stand out for me personally. But I agree this is a no skip album.
"Cover Me" is my favorite song on this new album. It's the clear winner for me.

Seungmin stole the spotlight for me in Cover me. Did you know Cover me was produced and directed by Bang Chan and Hyunjin. This is the first time, Hyunjin has directed a song I think. If you loved Cover me, I think you'll also love, Gone away, Winter falls, Lonely St., Lovestay. All of these songs are calm and melodious songs by skz

I also really liked Blind spot from mashup, and then comflex came and just stuck in my head with Felix's words and Ban Chan's choruses.... So I think it's my favorite song. Also, the megaverse remains at the same level, it was already perfect even in the trailer. The rest of the songs, especially lalalala, just fire💥, this is my first comeback, and I reeeeeally really liked the album, thank you, stray kids, for blessing my ears🙏🙏🙏
The cover me song vocals before end should have been falsetto but Hyunjin asked them to sing with their full voice and it is beautiful
I know you didn’t enjoy the SKZFlix saying you’re there for their music not their acting but for me, when i heard Seungmin’s voice sing the powerful part of Cover Me it hit me to my soul.
Remember that little challenge I gave you, imagine my shock when I later found out Hyunjin was the one who wrote it and produced it with Chan’s help. It is his first song to make the B side of an album. I’m so proud of him.
Because I’m a rocker at heart La La La La is my favourite but Cover Me is my 2nd favourite because I also love slow songs when they have impact, the Celine or Whitney kind of impact where you know it’s coming and when it does it hits hard. Seungmin and Chan sang that part beautifully.
Hyunjin did a good job with the song for sure.
Love your reactions. Maybe you could consider reacting to the album's INTRO, to get a bit of an insight on the album's process and the boy's thoughts on it. It's very moving and interesting knowing about the songs' intention or interesting details of its writing and production. I'm aware you've said you're not really into their other type of content, but since the INTRO is kinda music-related perhaps you'd be interested.

from the very first second, from the moment i heard seungmin's high note in skzflix, i knew that cover me would be my favorite song. and so it is. leave sounds like a song that can heal your soul and blind spot is the type of song that motivates you to move on and not give up. at the moment this is my favorite album from skz, i love these eight talented boys with all my heart ❤️ thanks for yout reaction!

@@rhedonlyrhed9155 honestly it's just me and my own impression, in the album leave comes after cover me, so when i heard those calm guitar notes, even though the lyrics were still heartbreaking, i felt relieved? it's like watching the last drops of rain fall from the sky after a strong storm, and the rain gradually goes away. and even if it still hurts, it seems to heal you. tbh i started crying during blind spot and leave somehow calmed my heart ~.~
@@staaa148__ i have now looped the album enough times to realize what you mean. Quite honestly, skzflix and the live stage left too strong of an impression but with the lyric videos nd album sequence, Leave does give that closure

I’m happy so see you loving Cover Me. It is composed by Hyunjin. He wrote it when loneliness hit him. (Said in the documentary of this album making video, you should definitely check out too❤) Han complimented Hyunjin’s song writing saying that the demo with only Hyunjin&BangChan was already good enough. 😊
blindspot may sound very bright and happy and it does contain positive messages in the lyrics too - at the same time it speaks on some deeper/serious topics and Han who wrote it said in the intro video (which they do for every album) that he cried at night bc of this song
To fully understand the album and the process of creating it and what it all means I suggest you watch the intro of the album you don’t need to make a reaction vid on it I just feel like the intro vid is a must when listening to Stray Kids albums. I appreciated every song even more cause I know how hard they worked on it and the meaning behind it. Also I really enjoyed how you always point out sounds and instruments in each song cause as someone who is not really proficient in music I appreciate the sounds more. To answer your question Cover Me is my fave cause we are all use to them doing hype songs and rap heavy ones but cover me is a full on ballad with them just showcasing that they can do it too. Although there other songs in their discography that are ballads as well I just feel that in Cover me they were able to really express their vocal talents well. Also the lyrics is so good it made me emotional, for the hype songs I still really love Megaverse that beat was stock in my head for days the 1st time I heard it.

Cover Me is so beautiful, Hyunjin wrote it and it's such a masterpiece, their vocals and everything about that song is just so special btw 16:02 Seungmin recorded his part here in the first take because he was so immersed in the mood and meaning of the song, knowing what Hyunjin wrote anout (he talks about it in the album intro video as well)
I just know their live band will have so much fun with the rock version, and add their raw vocals in, its gonna be a totally different experience.
I love all the tracks, but Cover Me hits so hard given that its written by Hyunjin..and he always writes emotions so beautifully. The MVs I'm looking forward to the most is Leave (for the SKZflix sequel) and Megaverse, Chan teased about it featuring someone he has a connection with.
You know asking Stay to rank songs is like having to choose your favorite kitty for a litter... and they are all looking at you at the same time.. with the big kitten eyes... mewing... softly...(sorry Pierre, I'm tired, don't judge me) okeydokey (ha Felix says it in LA4x)..
Love "Cover me" - I can image Obi-Chan Kenobi is so proud of his little producer Padawan Hyunjin. Maybe Hyunjin will be able to use the way of the "force" to open up that laptop to see what other treasures are rattling around in there.. I was kinda afraid when someone thought it was going to be a RedLite (which I love but I would die) ver2, but this collab is perfect, (all the vocals, beat, lyrics, everything). Leave is handholding strong though and the Hulk running around yelling "smash" in Megaverse is everything... just line the rest of the songs, they all winners..

I first heard this album when I knew nothing of Stray Kids and I was only casually listening to the album because of my sisters. I think the first songs I fell in love with were Leave, Blind Spot, and Social Path. LaLaLaLa was a fun song to jam too, but not my favorite and same with Megaverse. Comflex had to grow on me over time, but now I really enjoy it a lot. Stray Kids are a no skip group and that's coming from someone who didn't really like music or delve into music at all until a year ago. Cover Me is probably my favorite now, simply because I love powerful and incredible vocals, but I really love every single song Stray Kids has come out with.

Comflex is my favorite song of the album it just sounds so good and the lyrics make me feel happy. It feels kind of motivational and uplifting which is also why I like Mixtape: Time Out from their 5star album. 😃

We seem to have the same taste in songs...
It's my second comeback, and although 5 star was an awesome album with almost no skip, there still was one song I did not like as much as the others.
This album is a masterpiece, every song transports me for different reasons.
I was so excited for the LALALALA rock version, and it exceeded my expectations ! I was hoping for them to go full metal and they DID IT but what I was not expecting was that radical change of beat with the slow headbanging drums pulse. It's just awesome ❤
I was also expecting loads from the two slow songs Cover Me and Leave, because they are written by Hyunjin and Changbin respectively, and those are my two favourite songwriters in Stray Kids.
Cover Me made me cry on first listen without even understanding the lyrics (I still haven't had time to look them up), it's so emotionnal, their vocal delivery is full of feelings.
I'm happy that they put Leave after Cover Me. It works like a nice comforting hug and pat on the back after a big cry. Even though it's also a sad song, it has a dreamy sense of acceptation and letting go that is quite nice.
TMI: one week prior to the release, I realised that my relationship might be coming to an end, and so this song hit home in the most accurate way but it's not as painful as I thought it could be...
Favourite songs: definitely those three, but I also love the vibe of Blind Spot, and I want to check the lyrics of Comflex because I feel it's one of the most relatable songs in the album.

I love the whole album but if I must pick a favorite, it would be Megaverse. The song is so “them” and has all their unique flavor. I love a super dark but hype song. Beside Megaverse Lalalala really grew on me so I love it. Cover me and Leave are also getting played a lot.

Megaverse is so powerful, it rivals LALALALA as the title track in my head. 3:45 like THIS VERSE with Chan and Seungmin clashes with LALALALA's chorus when it plays in my head.
Blindspot tickles my brain. The instrumentals (the pitchy beats, idk what to call them, i love them very much). The vocal techniques. Like it actually mirrors Social Path, soundwise.

LEAVE, THE SONG THAT HAS GASLIT ME EVER SINCE THE TEASER...should have known after hearing "please dont hurt me". the audacity to say "please dont cry" and its not even sad twerking, its full on easy to listen and easy to hurt me. (Like Cover Me has the hightened vocal techniques to distract me, Leave IS BLATANT PAIN)
LALALALA ROCK VER is honestly more restrained (in making me want to dance), instead it encourages me to sing and headbang and jump to it. And im so inlove with the ending too!

I really love this album, maybe not as much as 5star but I love it. But to be fair, there isn’t a SKZ album I didn’t like. Because they’re SKZ and they NEVER flop. But even though Megaverse and LaLaLaLa and Comflex are fire songs, this album has, what is now, one of my favorite SKZ ballads - Cover me. And Hyunjin wrote it. Not Han, or Changbin’s, or Chan… but Hyunjin. Wow…. They are so unique and amazing, they keep surprising me EVERY SINGLE TIME! How do they do this?!?!?!
