Is there anything you two can't do? I love how you come up with an idea, determine that it's beyond your current capabilities, then source the educational content required to figure it out, and then go and do it - all successfully! Simple Amazing!
18:00-18:10 Double entendre???🤣 20:45 Would a custom wrench, similar to a distributor wrench, help with tightening/torqueing the lug nuts? Excellent work all around.
How freaking cool! I was debating on buying a CNC table and seeing this has conviced me it's the right thing to do. 2 things to know with your tracked Jeep. (1) Take extra gas. Your mileage will be worse than you expect, around 3 mpg. (2) Your power steering will need a super efficient cooler or you'll boil your power-steering fluid and have to muscle it. Fantastic job. You'll have to refine your setup and sell your CNC file to people who want to replicate this awesomeness!
Having a plasma table is a serious game changer! We'd highly recommend checking out Arclight Dynamics. Our table has had ZERO issues and the customer service we've gotten is top notch.
@@AmbitionStrikes Hey, thanks for the reply! I've been looking at the Langmuir Systems Crossfire XR that is a full 4x8 and costs $6500 but I check out the Arclight Dynamics as well. It's always good to hear about great customer service. Thanks!
I cannot believe there is so talented motivated people out there. I been watching since barndominium project and was not shocked or anything since I am a builder but that was only your newly acquired skill sets. I am especially amazed at Courtney. I have not been around woman like her who get things done and are willing to do hard work including my own wife. Women here all just sit around in comfortable home wearing brand name clothes and luxury bag watching Netflix and gossip about break ups. My wife call me to bring laundry up to 2nd floor while I was working down in the crawl space fixing beams and joist of our patio in blazing 95 degrees.
Here's a technical comment. You might want to mount the drive sprocket to the car first so you can torque the nuts easier. The ones I've seen all use that procedure for safety. Love the video.
good videos nice to see life and happiness in people , I lived in boise beautiful country but hate the snow I am from Utah and I also hate thensnow so I reside in new Mexico
“Ambition Strikes” is a perfect name for your channel. Most people start a project and realize they don’t have the skills for the job. You two seem to have a willingness to learn and gather information that surpasses most peoples “ambition”. Thank you for the superb content.
Fantastic accomplishment! And it does look like a blast to drive. But living in snow country you need to get serious about clearing your drive. You have the perfect tool for that task; your truck. Just add a snow plow and tire chains and the county road crew will be jealous.
Nice build. Might I suggest putting the track on a moving dolly, then you can roll them in to place without lifting them. Of course you need a jack to lift it high enough. Take care.
Looks awesome, you need a small harbor freight furniture dolly or mechanics creeper to move them around when mounting/dismounting them so you can slide them sideways onto the lugs. Can't wait to see it do Snow-nuts.
Ok, HOW does it really feel to be the Mamma Jamma BADasses of all BADASSES🦾🦾🦾? I want a ride in that Pimped- out, hoopty, -ski skootin' snow tracks beast! I really want that pattern cutter machine...I don't know what I'd do with it but I really want one. You're both so incredibly resourceful👩🏭👨🏭 and multi-talented🧑🎨...it's like you are a Swiss Army Knife as human couple form. Well done ...well done👏👏👏🎉🎉
@@AmbitionStrikes Thank you ...I am honored to cheer you two on. I'm a red-head turned gray now. Back in those earlier days I loved adventure and love how you two have that spirit about you. For me I am now wheelchair bound and limited to adventuring (unless blowing spitballs at my blind sister while she sleeps is considered adventure). So I will do my part and enjoy your content and live through you two. Thank you for bringing me along.
The first videos I saw on your channel were about your nice dozer. I was questionning whether you were able fix it up. Now I think I should have watched some of these older videos! Amazing work and absolutely no questions about your abilities anymore! Great work!
you should refer to those parts as the track frame, they will support the idler wheels, sprocket and the tracks and will pivot on the wheel hubs. similar to the track frame of a dozer.
I think the prototype phase should have included more analysis for bolting and unbolting. After the snow season, it would be beneficial to cut a hole in the bottom of the outer hub mount to run a socket and extension through.
For the anti rotation you should spring load it to reduce the stress. Thats how they do on track kits on ATVs kits. If you needs pictures or ideas I can take pics of my kit I have.
A hydraulic shock absorber (regular ole suspension shock) mounted horizontally from somewhere around the lower control arm (front) or front leaf mount (rear) would prevent the track units from swingling around like a pendulum and could be configured as limit stops if sized correctly and mounted properly. Gas charged shocks could be used to counteract the counteract the drive torque as well. (More complicated on the front end as the forces on the unit reverses when in 2wd and 4wd, but honestly, this this is probably only gonna move in 4wd. )
Great content you two. A suggestion for Boone... When we go camping we set up a "run line" at camp. Between two trees tie off a rope or twine 50-100 feet or so at about 8 feet high. Attach a 10 foot lead to this with a carabiner and attach it to the pooch. When we do this, it allows our dog to essentially have the run of the camp while still being limited to the camp. It's a lot more freedom for her and allows her to run as well. Just a thought. Cheers from Arizona.

CNC machine? Sure. Everyone has one of those laying around the house. You are the most clever and you have the best puppies ever.
I bet you'd be surprised! There are several DIY and affordable options on the market these days.

Very cool mate.
Cheers Rory
THAT'S FUN!!! 💜 💜 💜
Retro decals are perfect!
You folks are such an inspiration with your can do attitude.
Courtney you are so cool with stuff it's a WOW GIRL
Paint is better than powder part for these parts. Powder coat will crack and allow moisture in causing corrosion.
That is FREAKING AWESOME!!!! Kick ASS...GREAT JOB !!!!
Amazing as always! Keep it up!

Truly, truly impressive!!!!!
Awesomeness! My whole career as an engineer building machines and I never did anything like that.

Absolut great job. And your smile. Beautiful.
Love the decals she did amazing
Excellent! Manouering in the snow will be the acid test though. Great stuff with the rattle can and Riley did a bit too....
Excellent Job! Nice fabrication. Great design! Great stiffness improvements.
Good work team!
This is the coolest thing ive ever seen
Awesome have fun wow love it.👌
Gonna wanna put some extra cans of gas. Cool job on them. Hopefully it handles well in the snow
Wonderful build
Excited for snow

Congratualtions!!! Job wel done. Can't wait to see it in the snow.
all this mechanical and technical jargon and I am just as mesmerised by the vinyl application
Yes!! It is official Y’all are Amazing!!
I’m glad your using a longer bolt. But would like to see you add a locking nut, so the wheel does tighten or loosen that single nut.

Thanks Al! Now we just need to find some snow!
@@AmbitionStrikes Cant wait to see how this snow moster works.
Totally amazing..
Very proud of you both...
Love the chewy box you are painting the product on, we use our chewy boxes for some of the same things!

Solid work⛷
you guys are awsome, just found your channel ,wicked
Thanks for watching Doug. We hope you’ll stick around for the next adventure. 😉

How cool this is you guys just some out of the box, can't wait to see what is next lol.
Fabulous conception and implementation of tracks on your Jeep!
Very cool. I've even seen a version of these you can just drive onto, and then you are up on tracks.
That would be awesome!
I've been getting caught up so....I haven't seen the future yet. These things are AWESOME! I hope you built the stops to limit rotation.
Awsome! I had my doubts, but you work is super!
Very cool. Haven’t seen a southbend before. Looks like a strong little machine. Cheers!!!
You probably have thought of this but, just a suggestion to make sure you adjust the toe on the front 😉
Howdy from Malaysia! Keep on keeping on. Looking forward to seeing part 4!
The Tack Master, lol. Kind of a Tacky joke… 🤣😅
Well done both of you, great idea made come true. Best of luck and fun with it and can't wait to see it in action in the snow
