I spent so much time on that Pier together with my son, who's now an adult. Hopefully the city of Lauderdale By the Lake will help the owner of the pier get it rebuilt. It's a landmark.

So sad!! We dive under this pier all the time, and knew it was in poor condition, but did not expect it to fall apart like this! 😢😢😢

I get that a large chunk of the pier is missing now, but the first 22 seconds of this video shows damage that was caused by Hurricane Irma which landed in 2017.🤨 🤦‍♀️ This pier was only half open since that storm.

Better News it’s gonna be rebuilt with rebar and concrete probably gonna have a fishing shop on top as well.

Ditto onev of my Happiest summers @ 13 YO was spent in afea. Did odd chores 2 git nuff $$ 2go on pier & Fish if lucky nuff few coins left 2 buy a Bresslers cone when done. Good Memories ;) Sad2C it like that
