Something that I find very helpful for learning some of these specific descriptive vocabulary words is QVC Italia in diretta! They not only use very formal and clear Italian, but they go into very descriptive detail on all the different products/clothes. Lots of good listening practice and plenty of vocab repetition in proper context :D and it's live-streamed right on TH-cam

Grazie. We are in Italy now until the end of october. I've already went to the hairdresser (learned some usefull sentences), I'm going to buy a pair of new shoes and will have fun trying these sentences. I have so much fun . Now i know what the seller asks me when i enter a shop "Posso aiutarla ?" and I know what to say instead of showing my eyes with my finger, I can proundly say"do un'occhiata" which is the equivalent in french "of throwing an eye= je jette un coup d'oeil"when we say we are just looking. In a moment we are going to pay the calzolaio who repaired my husbands shoes and i'm going to say "è possibile pagare contanti ? ". It's very fun to learn and to try to use it right away. The shopkeepers usually explain in italian because we're french and thus understand their explanation but we can't respond . Fortunately, italians are not arrogant like us, french people, they help us formulate our sentences, they wait patiently. I love it here !!

Absolutely useless for me. Just to listen to Italian I could find any website with Italian news. What I need, it's not ENGLISH subtitles, but ITALIAN subtitles. I don't need translation into English, my perpose is to listen original Italian and learn. And to better understand spoken Italian I need ITALIAN subtitles to better listen and understand what the video presenter speaks. I absolutely don't need translation into another language, this translation is really annoying and useless. If I don't know Italiana words, I look into dictionary, which is my purpose.

Just switch to Italian subtitles
