My favorite is Praewwanich number 56. I think she represents a true Thai beauty with her dark skin tone and exotic look. She’s also a well spoken person in Thai and she can also communicate in English. She’s shown that she’s improved in many skills these past years, and with her past pageantry experiences, she will definitely make Thailand proud.
She is sooo stunning too. I wish I spoke Thai so I could weigh in some more.
Wow. Number 56 is so gorgeous. Beautiful. Her hair slicked back and into a bun is amazing for her. So classy. So pretty. Loved her white dress. She looks amazing.
Her only weakness is English and communication skills.

I just saw today that 56 was the World runner up. I'm sure that makes her very motivated to win Universe Thailand. Wow, no placement for #18 in 2013. That does surprise me. Maybe she's making a come back!
@@DaniWalker yeah many contestants this year have failed in previous competitions, they have learnt from their failures and come back even stronger. After Pia won Miss Universe in 2015, I think anything is possible from former contestants to come back and fight for their dreams. Amanda, #97, was top ten in both Miss Thailand world 2015 and Miss Grand Thailand 2016. I was so surprised back then that she did not make to top 5 on both pageants.

Cheraim like praew speaks on point.. she can speak English but she prefer to speak thai like veena :) shes one of the strongest Contestant when it comes to speaking ability. There's a lot of wisdom in her when she speak and many thai can relate to her :)

Emmy Sawyer (the young contestant) is being trained (virtually) by a Filipino pageant coach (RL Lacanienta), who also trained Paweensuda “Fahsai” Drouin (Miss Universe 2019 Top 5) and Anntonia Porsild (Miss Supranational 2019, the first for Thailand).
Amanda represented Phuket in Miss Grand Thailand in 2016.
Several contestants this year (including Emmy and an African-American-Thai candidate) were part of The Face Thailand (a model search reality show, think ANTM).

This year, Thailand has a higher number of candidates in quality than the Philippines and only compared to South Africa and Venezuela.

I agree with.u . they have so many Miss Universe material candidates.. A lot of them are worthy of International title holders.. Very competetive this year..

I think it due to the fact that, TPN, the new MUT organization are open minded and allow girls to keep competing until they win the title so many past beautiful contestants returned after Fahsai of last year did. In the past and the past franchise owner don't like girls who compete in many stages level. That's why Thailand ended up getting new face of winners with less skills and experience. As long as TPN hold this franchise, watch out Philippines, Thailand will not be the same as more beautiful and stronger women line up for next year MUT already.

She studied Russian in school but she is Indian but she was born in Thailand. As of today, my first choice is # 18 (it could change). lol
I agree with you Dani, it's long overdue for Thailand's 3rd Miss Universe. I hope you could also review the recently concluded Miss Malaysia. Hope you can be a channel for them to promote Miss Malaysia 2020, I follow the National Director Elaine Daly in IG and I can feel the passion for them to make it in Miss Universe semi finals. ☺️

Number# 82 CherAim. an international model who enter beauty queen pageant for the first time but she became famous for her speaking skill and wits. She is similar to current Miss Universe who speak very well and want to represent a different version of beauty and break stereo type of beauty queens. She was born with deform mouth and also lost all of her front teeth from accident when she was young so she has been struggled with verbal pronouciation when she speak for years but she tried to improve and overcome it and did not let it in the way of her career and to where she want to be. She is definitely one of strong contestants who will be inspiring to other girls

After all I want to have Emmy for Miss Universe Thailand, while in the Philippines is Bella Ismael.
As living in the US, staying home is the best bet for yourself and others in this COVID-19 situation. While I was browsing TH-cam last month, I saw a reality show called “ppthecreative” interviewing one beautiful lady. She is so gorgeous and her each answer is remarkable. Most importantly, she talked about how she wants to raise a mental health awareness in Thailand. This is very interesting to me once I know that she will be a candidate for the MUT Thailand 2020 🇹🇭 because as long as I can remember I have never heard any pageants in Thailand speak about this issue, as not common as gender, climate change, HIV, kids, and natural beauty. Or someone has already mentioned this topic but I don’t know. This is my first year to watch the MUT Thailand competition.
“Amanda” is her name. She is half-Thai, half-Canadian and finished her Bachelor in Business Administration and Economics at University of Toronto, Canada. Now, I’m not surprised why her interview and interaction are well-rounded. Her family went through mental disorder experience and she started working on this issue since she was 15 when Tsunami hits her beloved Phuket. She said listening is very important to help people cope with mental issue. It’s not just listening BUT really listening. For a person experiencing a mental health problem, having an empathetic listener can be calming and reassuring - even healing.
As a person who has firsthand experience from myself, my family and my friends, Thailand cannot openly talk about mental illness even with family or close friends. Oppositely in the US, almost everyone has experience with psychiatrist or psychologist once in a life time. Psychiatrist and psychologist are different but they work closely together and both are important but in Thailand we have very limited number of psychologist. I really wish “Amanda” win this competition, she has firsthand experience for years and it’s time for Thai people to publicly accept that mental illness is a medical problem, just like heart disease or diabetes. Mental illnesses are health conditions involving changes in emotion, thinking or behavior (or a combination of these). Mental illnesses are associated with distress and/or problems functioning in social, work or family activities. Mental illness is common!!!
Now, we really need you “Amanda” and “your campaign” especially in the COVID-19 pandemic, political rally in Bangkok, and financial crisis around the globe.
Hi queen -Thai fan here... it’s super hard to subtitle Thai into English because there’s no direct English word equivalent --the sentence structure is very different -it changes meaning with a slight change in intonation
Praew cannot speak English but can understand English. Praew is one of the strongest Contestants because she speak on point during her enterview thats why she advanced to receive golden tiara. That made her gain a lot of fan base like veena
I disagree. I understand Thai well. Her answers not that too good. She can't even finish many of the answers because she was struggling. That's why she got the lowest votes from judges out of the 5 golden tiaras. She is just some judges favorite. I would pick no. 1 Queen Benjarat over her if she has given more questions. Queen is so good with her speaking skills, better than Veena as well.

I don’t know why majority of people has issue about her age? When Miss Universe 2003 Amelia Vega (Miss Dominican Rep) was 18 when she won the crown 👸 and Miss Universe 2009 Stefania Fernandez (Miss Venenzuela) was 18 as well and took home the crown. I so can see Emmy following there footsteps! Shout me out Dani for knowing that 😉👍🏼
@@dariodimarco8179 I think for recent years, most winners are aging and have more experience and projects they already started. When look at young contestants like Emmy, she/they are still in college and no degree or career to compare to other older contestants. NOT to mention, when was the very last time we ever had a young Miss Universe, maybe 2006? Also, competition these days are high competitive and the questions are tough. If you don't have a strong public speaking, it would be hard to win.

She can NOT talk in Hindi, just some basic sentences. Russian is her 3rd language! Just like her father, she has full Indian blood but was born in Thailand.

Great idea. I was sort of confused though. What instructions are the contestants given for this challenge?
Dani Walker basically give your opinion on the word. No questions to lead how they would like to answer it and I think this is why it shows who is clever as the contestants have to choose the aspect they wanna talk about by themselves
So basically each contestants are to respond to key words which are randomly popped up on the screen e.g. opportunity, education, pride, equality, democracy , privacy, security etc.. Contestants can say anything related to the word they see within 30 sec.

No, Veena is Thai of Indian descent and was raised mostly in Thai culture. She can't speak Hindi but can well-communicative in English & Russian other than Thai as her mother tongue. 😎
No.91 Cindy...She said that Thailand has failed the educational systems because there ltoo much difference between private school and government school . Students spent too much money for extra tuition classes for university entrance exam because the exams details are not taught in school. If thailand has good educational system...why students chose to do extra classes?
