You can use hairspray on your drawings so they don't smudge
5:10 if you use hairspray your pages will eventually turn yellow! easy thing to do with this paper is actually to gently paint some water on it! when it dries it will significantly prevent smearing and still be fixable if you wanna return to it! if you can afford it though, get a can of fixative from an art supply store! its special spray made specifically for setting pencil without yellowing the page!
You could also do a light wash of watercolor on the pages and it won't smudge or smear anymore

Your art style is adorable❤😭 and to answer your question regarding the smudges, I use clear adhesive rolls to cover my pencil sketches! I've heard other people recommend Fixative Sprays as well.

I played Total drama Island with my littlest pet shops. My sisters and I made up characters with personalities and we'd make up random challenges to slowly eliminate them. We loved the chickens and the ponies

I put a blank paper under the page I'm drawing on so it doesn't smudge. You can also use baking paper (wax paper) and keep it in between the pages. I've used hair spray too. I've never used real fixative but it probably works better. Sometimes I use matte mod podge for sealing my art, but it's very trial and error. Make sure it's matte not the shiny mod podge or it will stick together.
