Yoo!!! I've been trying the last 3 days to figure this out! Thankyou so much. I found out that my a big issue was cause I had hardware plugged in and it wasn't giving me those option. But as soon as I unplugged it and restarted it was all there.
Thank you for this! I have a question...does the track correct from downbeat to downbeat? So if you correct the first down beat but further along in the track it's drifting again, do you just go to where the drift starts and correct from there? As many times as necessary?! I trust Ive explained this correctly!
Something interesting I found by accident the other day was the way Serato analyses a track on Serato and Serato pro are different, I have an S11 so it only unlocks pro when the mixer is plugged in, I was auditing some tracks away from the mixer and making some hot cue's and noticed. if I analyses 1 track with the mixer disconnected the beatgrid was off, track has an intro that it didn't like. when I plugged the S11 in and pro was enabled it found the correct beatgrid from further on in the song. I could replicate that over and over, back and forth, same track, when pro is enabled it uses different algorithms to find the beatgrid.
how do you lock the previous beat points (2,3,4, etc) from moving when you go and adjust the grid further in the mid section of the song or end of the song? When I move the grid it moves everything else that I adjusted at the beginning. :(
Did you find an answer to this. I'm just doing this now, and the whole beatgrid just moves meaning the earlier ones you had perfect have now moved too.
@@luramen Did the beats match perfect on the new software? What software did you change to? I'd spend the next year editing the grids for all the tunes I've got. I mean this is k real problem, I can't believe Serato haven't sorted it.
@@Xscreamking yeah. I didn’t bother to continue adjusting the grid on serato.. it is just annoying.. I switched to Rekordbox. Much better experience IMO and now that they improved STEMS sound quality its a different whole game.
Good explanation of the grid. But, if you disable the grid in settings, because you are playing ripped analogue vinyl, just tap the tempo for an approximate bpm, and mix, old school...
serato's bpm analyze is always hella off they need to seriously learn from tunebat on that and just get it right or let u manually type the bpm and select the first drop or something. Hella time consuming..
Hi! DJ CEE B: I'm a beginner dj, however, on the virtual deck of Serato Dj Pro some of my songs have the 100.2 bpm. I had checked the song in Tunebat and was 100 bpm, my tempo slider is in the center. How can I adjust the song to the correct beat of 100 bpm? Thanks.
I'm having a problem with beat grid of a song. The bpm is 75 bpm and its called , "Just the way you are" by Barry White. I tried to beat grid this song five times and just doesn't lined up and on the beat. I manually tap the beat and it was 75bpm. How can I beat grid this song and have it play on each beat. Thanks.
@Gerald McClaren not sure if I can help, but many songs back in the day such as Barry White were made by real musicians instead of these locked in machine sounds. The drummers tend to not be locked tight, but they sound like they are locked tight. I am a DJ and no way I am getting the true BPM from those old classics and Disco songs. Songs today are locked in, so yes we can get the true BPMs from today music.
@@aswinwu Are you setting/editing the beatgrid with adjust or the slip option? Maybe try deleting the whole beatgrid before setting the first downbeat, if you’re not already doing that.
Dude! DUDE! I think this is the best Beat Grid edit video out there! THANKS!!!
Thank you!
I love how your videos are short & concise. It’s a lot easier to follow than others I’ve come across.
I can't believe I'm barely watching this video!! You made this look so easy and explained it very clear and straight to the point, thank you!!!
Great tutorial - I’ve just moved over to Serato from Traktor. This is just what I needed

@@DJCEE_B I have a slight problem mate. I set 1 and 2 fine. When I go to set 3 it moves 2 off the mark. Same as I go along. Any idea?
Straight to the point, sharing the knowledge in quick easy to understand format!
Bro you explained that perfectly, great teaching skills!
Man, thank you for this info. Keep on making the Serato tips.
Yeah I have a lot of videos planned!
Can you analyse 1 song on a crate, when I analyse the whole crate analyse

DJ CEE B, thanks for demonstrating on how to edit beat grids in Serato Dj. Well done!

Good stuff! I'm a new subscriber!
When I do that the whole grid moves left or right so what I fixed previously moves offbeat?
My tune reads 126.3

Great. This should take me every hour of every day off for the next year to do my library of tunes 😂
And THIS! Is why I love TH-cam. Thank you, sir. Now let me see if I can glue the hair back in my head that I pulled out.

@@snufbox I have the same problem. In my case slip/adjust have a same function (move off the track). Maybe it's a problem with the song structure?
@@sarimarii Yeah could be. Maybe something that doesn’t fit into the generic/standard structure?
thx a lot!
hey Dj CEE B, my Serato dj pro 3.0 all of a sudden Tidal stopped working. any advice would be appreciated
Virtual dj is the best 👌🏾
Wicked bruv
why does the bpm change?
Can’t TuneBat be unreliable?
nah its quite accurate
Serato
i kind of have the principle but i am still really bad at this
I don’t have the edit grid option
Go into your settings and turn the sync option on. I assume you have it turnt off
100% not right is 25% percent wrong. Because 98 bpm is 3/4 or 75% of 131.
Great tutorial! Thank you!
