I really do not understand, why we do compare proprietary protocols for video presentation NDI and nativity broadcast protocol 2022 or 2110? Do you think if the girl made her selfie and published them on TH-cam, Instagram, or any place this is broadcast TV? If say seriously, I tested to transfer 4x 2110-20/30 streams that encoded from 3GSDI equal over MPLS line on distance ~1100km. The measurement delay on the line was - 6ms. Any NDI could not repeat my exercise.
The lack of research and poor delivery of facts comparing NDI and SMPTE 2110 is immeasurable. I wish TH-cam brought back the downvote button, because this video is so misleading.
To summarize this think of NDI a great solution if you stick with Newtek and BMD equipments (small production company mostly). ST2110 is a "broadcast" standard used in TV production (OBvan, studios...) where GRASS VALLEY, ROSS and other high end equipments are mostly used.
Blackmagic does not use NDI. They have gone the furthest in implementing St2110 so far. ST2110 has all the capabilities of NDI, its just not been implemented very much as it canabalises a lot of historically very profitable equipment the vendors sell. Like how Car makes don't really want to make EVs as they don't need much servicing and so kill the aftermarket profitability (Their main profit centre) ST2110 can do all that NDI does and more, and that AND MORE part makes it look hard and for professionals. But like BMD is doing, in terms of trying to make it like NDI and mainly discover to the user those features. BMD is famous for being disruptive, and this is another example.
You kept referring to NDI as being low latency but compared to SMPTE 2110 it's higher latency

NDI is a child's toy compared to Smpte 2110. Saying ndi is low latency is ignorant and uninformed.
