They were generous for media studies my boundaries were around 15 marks lower per grade. It helped out massively is making me optimistic for 2021. Plus January topics areas will help
This year as a whole has been a fiasco for education. We’ve seen students getting inflated grades without having the need to put the effort, we’ve seen students getting standardised/downgraded with no vaild reason other than stereotyping where students live and what type of background they’re from. This is ridiculous to be honest. In my opinion, the educational system is abysmal and has a poor way of grading. Exams never should have been cancelled in the first place, they should have kept schools open but limit the number of students who can come in. Furthermore, with regards to ofqual, ofqual overemphasised their blog, saying “grade boundaries will be relaxed to match the generosity of summer 2020” for the autumn series. However based on what I’ve gathered, it has not happened! I’m 20 years old and I am currently at college, I have just retook my gcse maths exam. Let’s just hope the grade boundaries for GCSEs will be relaxed
@@Hawthornearts with all due respect, I don’t think you’re understanding what I am trying to say. Ofqual cannot say that the grade boundaries will be relaxed compared to past years and not relax it, almost a contradiction don’t you think? Let’s just hope that GCSE maths and english will be relaxed because I need that grade C for maths
This is a bit off topic but do you think after what has happened today where London has gone into tier four along with the southeast that this will effect the fairness of exams or even the likelihood of them carrying on?
If this continues into January it will affect the fairness and it may have an effect on the chance of the exams taking place. But until the spring term starts (if it starts), we won't really know.
Hi Sir. Can you make a video about the University. I have questions like, can you choose and study 2 or 3 courses/subjects at a time in a Unviersity (especially Oxford)? SIr please answer my question. I don't know how these universities work!
Some universities do joint honours courses (Oxford being one of them I believe), but I’ve never heard of someone doing 3 at one time. 2 might be possible. You will have to look at the individual uni though
It's as Mia said. Joint courses are not unusual. You'll need to research into the universities and subjects that you're interested in yourself. I advise calling them as well since it gets things cleared up very quickly.
@@kyoraks so let's do this !!! it is much needed, these stupid ass people are not even confirming anything plus they are not even helping us with any pre released stuff as they are going todo in with 2021.
I'm glad they lowered the grade boundaries for the A-level students. Let's hope they carry this on for the GCSE's.
That's the hope. We'll find out in January and February though!
My GCSE results are gonna be out in another 5 days and I'm actually panicking right now ....

That's great to hear!
I sat the maths autumn exams and upped my grade to an A❤️cannot tell you how happy I am⭐️
Yes Sophie! That's what I want to hear!

What’s your opinion on if exams will take place in 2021 with the news on new covid 19 strain
We need to make this trend, especially for jan 2021. We hardly have 2 weeks in exam, they need to tell us.
