i have two of the Akko keycap sets and I personally think that while yes, they are really expensive, they ARE worth their money if you go a bit deeper into the custom keyboard rabbit hole. They are still a great chance cheaper than the "name brands" like EPBT or GMK keycaps. Plus - at least for me as a middle European who has a hard time ordering from Drop or KBDfans because of shipping and taxes - they are a good chunck more available. They feel really great, and they are double shot, so I know that the writing isn't going to rub off. I do definitely suggest them, even tho it is sad that they did take.... inspiration from very popular expensive sets. To be very kind and not call it what it really is. on the other hand, that also means that there might be a GMK Botanical .... inspired set one day c:

I’ve purchased so many keyboards in the past year. I’m still searching for the best one. What is your all-time favorite keyboard?
Well it depends if your looking for a keyboard to just type and do stuff then you should get one that she has unboxed in one of her videos. If your looking for a keyboard to use for gaming I would recommend looking somewhere else for that not these type of keyboards.
@@sakii. I am not a gamer, so these keyboards are more what I am looking for. However, I see a lot of unboxings that are only so-so or not very good. I appreciate when someone has a strong favorite or top list to recommend.
@@kellyplans2464 Switch and Click has a video called "the best 65% mechanical keyboards for typing" and "this isn't the best keyboard anymore" (I haven't tested any of those keyboards out so no opinion from my side on any of them).
the thing with keyboards is though that they are entirely up to personal taste, so there might not be a 'best' pre-built keyboard out there unless you make some mods like lube the stabs to get rid of the rattle. or even go the route of custom keyboards. if you enjoy the typing experience with one of those you have already bought why not keep it for daily use instead of playing more into consumerism
@@seherling207 Thanks for the recommendations. I'm not out buying every keyboard. (I should have clarified on "so many keyboards this year.") Just trying to learn more and figure out what works for me. Very new to this and I don't have all the materials for custom builds and mods. Again, just curious and learning!
@@kellyplans2464 then I misunderstood you, sorry about that! I have the Akko 3087V2. I enjoy it a lot, some of the switches are a bit scratchy and the stabs also need some lube. It's not hotswap though and I am too scared to solder lol. Otherwise the Akko pink switches feel very nice, though I wouldn't really recommend them for typing (45g actuation force) unless you have a light hand and are a clean typer, though you might be able to get used to them like I did. The height is also good for my taste. But for the prize I got it (45€), definitely highly recommend it
