LOL, i remember 2 seasons ago Spurs team were trying their best to help Son scoring as many goals as possible because he was on the golden boot race, and here they are jackson and madueke trying to steal a penalty from Palmer knowing he's on the golden boot race.

This is the main problem we have at Chelsea right now. Football is a team game, but there is a lot of selfish players in tht squad and its very evident when they play. Everyone wants to score because it gives you confidence. A true leader would give this penalty after scoring a hat-trick. Watch Messi do it. However Noni and Jackson were wrong to behave like this and they deserve to be put on the bench and especially Jackson.

This happened vs United aswell. Palmer had the ball on the spot and Madueke was trying to talk him out of it. Pochettino definitely saw it then too. He should have sorted it out then.It's indicative of the lack of organisation in the team and the club. If Palmer is the designated taker then Madueke is clearly the issue here because he clearly has a problem with it.

That's some level of immaturity and unprofessional for Jackson and madueke. The knew palmer was the man for the job yet they just went all out.
It is very common for the designated penalty taker to give the penalty to another player who needs the morale boost, particularly when he has an hat-trick and the team is comfortably ahead. The problem is that he or the captain need to make that decision, and not let players fight it off.

To be fair. The argument was between Madueke and Jackson. Thiago intervened spoke to both and agreed that Madueke would take it. Gallagher and Palmer came over after the fact and took the ball from Madueke. At 4-0 nil you can let Madueke or anyone else take the penalty. If you're going to say that Palmer will take all the penalties until the end of time, then he might as well play alone on the field with Gallagher and put everyone else on the bench. Isn't that part of harmonizing the team, and make all players team players. This penalty hierarchy that Poch is supporting is just going to divide the team into 2 or 3 groups. That was the downfall of PSG with the Mbappe - Neymar - Messi penaltygate.

I was designated penalty taker in my team when i was young.
I never miss from spot kick, maybe more than 30 pens, and never miss it.
But sometimes when my team mates want it, i let him take it, to help him boost his moral.
Sometimes i asked other players to take it, to make them happier.
Team is much important than my personal achievement.
I don’t care about being top scorer, my only care is the team win it and still solid as a team even we lost it.
