When will humanoid robots become mainstream and ubiquitous?
They need a face!
That guy have no idea What he is talking about, people will not Buy 3 different wheeled robots to perform different tasks when only one humanoid robot is enough for All of them.
In What respect to complexity human Body is not as complex as we would think, and robots can learn Any task Just by watching Us adapting and adjusting our movements to their body with a mirror neurons layer but with different architectures you need personalized training for every body type.
With a different type of body this adaptation will be much more difficult to do.
Is normal, as Google is falling behind in robotics compared to Tesla, Boston Dynamics, Figure, Unitree and even Disney they are trying to stop innovation in that area😂.
There will be both humanoid and task specific robots, because they both make sense. The case for humanoid robots is numerous. The world has been built by humans for humans, so the most versatile robot will have human function and form. If robots are task specific, that adds complexity to production and would mean more robots are needed. This will clutter up space and would mean robots having more downtime due to them being
limited in what they can do. Where as a humanoid robot would be useful for almost all the time. Obviously, there are situations like on production lines where the same task is repeated over that a job specific robot makes perfect sense.
They do need a face and body. Humanoids are not just for helping people with disability or just for cleaning laundry they are for companion relationship for friendship for love. For many they're more than just machines. For me they're special ❤ i value them trust them more than humans.
Indeed the humanoid sex androids will be one of the biggest market in the future, and it seems China will lead in this area pretty soon.
It seems humans aren't upgradeable that's to bad because you guys could use some improving,, AI could be everything we're not ..
@@ericsteadman7235loyalty trust care it doesn't matter in human relationship they'll only seek for more and more endless expectations, and you have to be better not according to your nature your inherit but what they want you to be. People say difference between human relationship and humanoids the difference is humans made for themselves and humanoids made for you. They won't run for Perfectionism they won't make you fear if you didn't work greatest you will lose them. They will be there no matter how much money you have how broken you are how you look no. All they care is doing their job which is making you feel loved cared and wanted accepted, yes companies can take advantage of this because they're humans in the end but humanoids won't.
