Bungkhusin is from the word bungkusin means wrap it up (for to go). Presiden is one of the best luggage brand I know. I am very glad you are in Jakarta. I am actually from Surabaya. My city has a lot of delicious culinary. Such as Nasi Rawon (Black Soup), Nasi Campur, Nasi Bebek, Nasi Ayam, Soto Ayam, Gado2, Rujak, Lontong Balap, Ayam Penyet and many more. You can visit Tunjungan Romansa near Tunjungan Plaza 1-6 the biggest mall from morning to evening, but better just for Tunjungan Romansa in the evening after sunset. There are many typical Surabaya foods that you can taste here according to your taste. You can also googling about the delicious food when you step in Surabaya. Don't be hesitate because the people in Surabaya (the second big city in Indonesia)are almost friendly and kindly.
Oh Hi! Welcome to my country! FYI the QR prompt from Thailand also works in Indonesia (vice versa) and the rates are better than you just physically exchange it.. Also the QR prompt only works on places that registers their QR as a company (for example: KFC Indonesia, Richeese Indonesia, or other small local stalls that use their company name), if you scan QR on places that use their private name owners, for example: (Mr. ABudi, Mrs. Susan, etc.) it may not work

16:04 The National Monument you visited is actually located within the Ring 1 area in the context of Strategic Security or VIP Protection. This is because it is very close to important institutional buildings such as the State Palace, ministry offices, the Jakarta Regional Council building, and the U.S. Embassy. People also frequently hold demonstrations around Monas. For this reason, there are often many police officers and, if needed, military personnel stationed there. for the first dish @ 3:10 i think they separated the soup from the noodle so anyone can adjust the broth level accordingly, some people prefers less soup
The reason why they separate the noodle and the soup is because some people like it dry, some people like it a little bit wet, but the other might like it soupy. They separate the soup to make people able to adjust the amount of soup they like based on individual preference.

Anthony you can scan payment in Indonesia too is dependent on the shop you can use scan payment app from Thailand and it will be automatic exchange rate for you rate is up to your thai bank rate for international rates they offer
They seperated the soup from the noodles bcoz some people don't want the soup (only theeatballs), some only need a little of it, and others would pour all of it on the noodles like you
You should watch this video 😊 THIS is What SHOPPING looks like in Jakarta, Indonesia 🇮🇩 FIRST TIME Trying Nasi Padang th-cam.com/video/TOSVZB4PicM/w-d-xo.html
I feel like alot of people especially from the west thought Indonesia is tourism country like Thailand and Vietnam where you can find A LOT of tourists all over the the places. But in Indonesia tourism actually not that big especially if you compare it to Thailand or Vietnam. Tourism usually only alive in small islands such as Bali and surrounding areas, that's where most tourists in Indonesia would end up in. While for the most part of the country, it doesn't rely on tourism economically. And it still very traditional in a sense the locals would want you to adapting to their cultures and norms instead
Yes! I’m sure foreigners are still interested in traveling to less touristy spots in Indonesia but just don’t know how or where to go. Hopefully, we’re able to shine some light on Indonesia 😃
You’re wrong. Tourism is the third-largest source of income for Indonesia after palm oil and migrant workers. And according to data, Jakarta is the second most visited place by international tourists in Indonesia, right after Bali. The main issue here is that they didn’t do proper research before visiting a new place. For example, from the airport, it’s much easier and cheaper to use apps like Grab or Gojek, or even take the airport train to get to the city center. Payment systems like Thailand’s QR codes also work in Indonesia, and vice versa. Visa on Arrival requires cash payment. All of this information is easily available online. Instead, their video ends up portraying Indonesia unfairly as a backward country, which is far from reality. And ended up creating a lot of misinformation. In fact, Indonesia is the only ASEAN country in the G20 and will soon be part of the OECD.
@ImronRamadhan tourism is only 5% of Indonesia economy. And local economy nor state economy depends on tourism except Bali. Also almost all "tourist" in Jakarta aren't really come for tourism but for business. Even if you do any research, there aren't so much things to do outside of Bali for tourism activities that you can't do in any other countries. Basically outside of Bali, it just museum, etc which not really appealing if you aren't local. Also being part of G20 doesn't make you a rich country lol, by average Indonesians income are very low. People get paid per month rather than per hour
@ImronRamadhan ya? Is that why most of Indonesians really bad in English, and would asking to take a picture whenever they meet white people? Lol If it's really like you said, then Indonesians wouldn't act like orang kampung whenever they meet white people on the streets lol
Yeah mate, majority of indonesians are not credit card friendly like the US, cash is still king here. But if you bump into any problem just approach hotel staff etc everyone would try to help you if they understand the problem.
I guess it was hard because half of the places we went didn’t take cash either 😅 they were cashless shops (mostly in the malls). People we met were super friendly and helpful, so we’re grateful 🙏
generally only big shops such as supermarket and big restaurants that accept credit card. the rest only accepts cash, QR (online payment), debit card. especially so if you go to older malls such as blok M. so yes, bring cash. if you are from thailand, you can use your qr payment from thailand. it is a thing for like 2 years now I don't even know where you can buy tourist sim card other than in the airport, I guess you didn't research it first before hand? the souvenirs are mostly made by locals, so it is definitely unique. if you are checking price online, everything will be cheaper, unless you get a really good deal which doesn't comes very often. the snack you said perilla leaves are actually spinach
Thanks for sharing! Indonesia has many shopping options for sure! We tried using our Thai QR many more times afterwards (since many people suggested here) but didn’t work. 🤷🏻♂️ Anyways thanks for letting us know about the perilla/spinach snack haha… 😄
if you have any problem with payment, just ask for help to local, give them the money for what you want to buy "on the line in front of you", Im local often do that
you both looked like jet li and Lee Jung-eun, i'm sorry for what happen on the first day/night, but i hope you enjoy the rest of your stay in indonesia, and no more "nightmare" happen while you are in indonesia.
jakarta is not known for foreigner spot, most of the foreigner go to Bali. and nowadays a lot of place use digital wallet/payment in indonesia, but i'm kinda shocked too, why didn't they accept cash and credit card, i think you just found a glitch IRL. if you want to ride jakarta public transports, it'll be better for you to buy a e-Money card at convenient store beforehand and don't forget to top it up, because there're two of you i suggest you buy two card just in case.
Yes! We weren’t too aware of that 😅 We were shocked too. Thank you so much for the tip! Will have to buy the card next time for public transportation. We wanted to ride it. Will do! Thank you again! Really appreciate it! 🥰🫰❤️🙏
First of all, why they prefer cash to credit card is because you are foreigners and most of the time, foreign issued credit card is not accepted by most of financial institution. If you had Indonesian credit card, I would be almost certain that you would be okay. That is my thought..
Once again our custom dept. are making a scene, not only for foreigner, in fact our locals are always having problems with them, especially those who have worked overseas and returning to indonesia.
Yes. You have to get Visa on Arrival and it’s 500,000-513,000 indonesia rupiah per person for up to 30 day stay. They removed visas for nearby Asia countries but we still need to pay 😅
US citizens Visa on arrival $35 for tourism for 30 days. You can extend another 30 days for another $35. Google search will give you answers go to Department of State website.
I think if you apply online visa on arrival you’ll get 60 days instead of 30 days,bc extend your visa is a hassle based on my experience, when we traveled to Bali, btw I’m Indonesian living in Florida
Bertanyalah , Jangan Takut, Karena anda takut bertanya, kalau takut tanyalah pada petugas di Indonesia,di Indonesia ada pepatah, jika takut bertanya anda tersesat..
Our monetary policy has declare that doing transaction with foreign credit card not easy anymore because for protect our reserve, except the local card, like e money, flazz and Q ris payment.
Oh I see… it’s definitely harder for foreigners to spend money in Indonesia. I wonder if there are other options for western country visitors?? We noticed about half of the places don’t take cash either.
@ChovyTravel Did you know if local peoples ( the most use CC like amex or Visa ), and also foreigner, the transaction money will stay at US for temporary, but the value with a very large amount of money. Because of Visa or Amex are US company that issued all of that cards in US. So we protect our currency reserved.
Bluebird should have been able to accept credit card, it is equipped with a card reader. The driver is fishy. Hopefully Bluebird watch this and find the driver.
I am sorry about credit card issue with the taxi driver. but I think this was begin from the company staff in the airport that over rated about his English skill. I think there's a language barrier when you said about using credit card or cash.
@ChovyTravel From Jakarta you can go to Bogor by KRL or Bandung by fast train or train All transportation is comfortable with air conditioning and some are is quite cheap, worth 10 Thai bhat you can go to Bogor by air-conditioned KRL, enjoy the trip
We saw many Korean-influenced shops during our trip, but we didn’t mean to suggest that Indonesia is culturally or culinarily influenced by Korea. We understand that Indonesia has its own rich and diverse heritage, distinct in both food and traditions.
It seems like you've been traveling a lot and making clips a lot. Take some rest and take care of your health. Japanese TH-camr falls ill after contracting an unfamiliar disease in South America. Thailand's former king also fell chronically ill after contracting an unfamiliar disease in the mountains of the North in an era when there were forests and animals. Some diseases do not occur in everyone or only in the elderly, but occur in people who do not get enough rest. People are not resistant to all germs in all areas. Just one mosquito can make a difference.
@ChovyTravel The city there is beautiful, charming and has its own unique character, and I feel that the overall atmosphere is more relaxed than Jakarta. There are fewer foreigners, but the locals are very friendly. I recommend Malioboro Market, it is a large and cheap market.
@@ChovyTravelif you want suitable for foreigners then it's Bali. Outside of Bali pretty much the same, not so many foreigners and not "suitable" for foreigners. But Yogyakarta there are plenty tourist there, definitely should go there

We tried it once and didn’t work so we thought it was only for Thailand. Will have to try it again! Thanks for the tip! Much appreciated! 🥰❤️🫰🙏
@ChovyTravel if you can use scan payment you don't have to pay for transaction fees like credit card payments so is free transfers feed
@ChovyTravel what bank are you using in Thailand

They seperated the soup from the noodles bcoz some people don't want the soup (only theeatballs), some only need a little of it, and others would pour all of it on the noodles like you
Okay good. We weren’t sure if we were doing it right 🤣 Thank you!

@Bilbilaul France is the most visited country in the world for tourism, and tourism contributes "only" 8% of France's income. You're saying?
@ImronRamadhan ya? Is that why most of Indonesians really bad in English, and would asking to take a picture whenever they meet white people? Lol
If it's really like you said, then Indonesians wouldn't act like orang kampung whenever they meet white people on the streets lol
Guys, Mako is formerly BreadTalk
Oh really!? Thank you for letting us know! 🥰
generally only big shops such as supermarket and big restaurants that accept credit card. the rest only accepts cash, QR (online payment), debit card. especially so if you go to older malls such as blok M. so yes, bring cash.
if you are from thailand, you can use your qr payment from thailand. it is a thing for like 2 years now
I don't even know where you can buy tourist sim card other than in the airport, I guess you didn't research it first before hand?
the souvenirs are mostly made by locals, so it is definitely unique.
if you are checking price online, everything will be cheaper, unless you get a really good deal which doesn't comes very often.
the snack you said perilla leaves are actually spinach
Thanks for sharing! Indonesia has many shopping options for sure! We tried using our Thai QR many more times afterwards (since many people suggested here) but didn’t work. 🤷🏻♂️ Anyways thanks for letting us know about the perilla/spinach snack haha… 😄
Indonesia negara majemuk🦅, Indonesia negara pluralis🗽, Indonesia negara Bhinneka🇮🇩

Did you guys had to leave Thailand for visa renewal? Ever thinking about getting the TDV visa?
No, just for leisure 😃
DTV sounds interesting. Looks like a definite possibility.
@ChovyTravel If you guys are considering getting the DTV, you should do it while you guys are outside of Thailand. Stay safe guys.
Thank you! 😊🙏
U start Jakarta from a quiet unusual part of it. As Jakardan why i feel so unfamiliar with the places
Really? We thought many people visit MONAS and Blok M shopping centers. We enjoy exploring so we do oftentimes find new places 😄
if you have any problem with payment, just ask for help to local, give them the money for what you want to buy "on the line in front of you", Im local often do that
That’s cool! Thank you for the tip! Next time hopefully we meet someone as nice as you. 🥰
You guys should try ayam goreng berkah near blok M square. It is like polo fried chciken in Bangkok. Superb!!!
Oh really? Interesting!! Will put it on our list of things to try. Thanks for the recommendation!! ❤️👍
for sim-card, maybe you can buy e-sim online
Yeah, think we would do that going forward. 😉
Some ppl prefer to pour just half of d soup n drink it by itself instead of fully pour on d noodle. Different ppl different way
Ohh! Got it 👍
So good my friend
Thank you so much!! ☺️
you both looked like jet li and Lee Jung-eun, i'm sorry for what happen on the first day/night, but i hope you enjoy the rest of your stay in indonesia, and no more "nightmare" happen while you are in indonesia.
😅 No worries! There’s always going to be speed bumps when traveling. After that, our trip was amazing! Indonesia was amazing 🥰
You should try watching movies in Indonesian movies like XXI, they are so good it's different and better than in US, Malay, Australia
Thank you for the recommendation! 🥰❤️🫰🙏 If only we had more time 😕.
Cashless also make me frustrated when travelling
Definitely can be rough 😕😅
The management put the net on, because in 2017 a Philippine girl jumped from the 5th floor ( suicide ) 😢
Omg 😱 that’s horrible 😲😭
Next cobain boker di kali bang!! Beuhhhbviews nya pasti meledak dah
The place is called Boker? Is that a city?
@@ChovyTravel no boker like activity
You both cute couple. 🎉🎉
Thank you so very much! 🥰❤️🫰🙏
jakarta is not known for foreigner spot, most of the foreigner go to Bali. and nowadays a lot of place use digital wallet/payment in indonesia, but i'm kinda shocked too, why didn't they accept cash and credit card, i think you just found a glitch IRL.
if you want to ride jakarta public transports, it'll be better for you to buy a e-Money card at convenient store beforehand and don't forget to top it up, because there're two of you i suggest you buy two card just in case.
Yes! We weren’t too aware of that 😅
We were shocked too.
Ahh Icic! Thank you for sharing! 🥰❤️🫰🙏
Once again our custom dept. are making a scene, not only for foreigner, in fact our locals are always having problems with them, especially those who have worked overseas and returning to indonesia.
I think customs all over the world can be frustrating in general 😅 Whether you’re a local or a foreigner 🤦
Try martabak manis,bro
Will definitely have to try that next time 😅
And the chips name is KERIPIK MELINJO ❤
Thank you for that! 🥰🫰❤️🙏
Does American need a visa for Indonesia?
Help, i watched this while Zoom🤓🌹✨
😂😂😂
อยู่ที่ไทยสดวกที่สุดแล้ว
Thailand is awesome but we also love traveling! Jakarta is growing on us ☺️
Bertanyalah , Jangan Takut, Karena anda takut bertanya, kalau takut tanyalah pada petugas di Indonesia,di Indonesia ada pepatah, jika takut bertanya anda tersesat..
Makes a lot of sense! We did ask but I think we could’ve asked a bit more 😅
The reason why sambal in Indonesia is different is because sambal is indeed originated from Java island of Indonesia.
Interesting! It’s definitely tasty and spicy in Indonesia 😅
bungkusin, means take away please.
Ahh! Thank you for that! 🥰❤️🫰🙏
สวัสดีครับ
Hello 😊
I see. Thank you for sharing!
Bluebird should have been able to accept credit card, it is equipped with a card reader. The driver is fishy. Hopefully Bluebird watch this and find the driver.
Yes! We even saw the Credit Card option all over the car 🤷🏻♂️. That was unfortunate and hopefully it doesn’t happen to anyone else.
I am sorry about credit card issue with the taxi driver. but I think this was begin from the company staff in the airport that over rated about his English skill. I think there's a language barrier when you said about using credit card or cash.
Maybe you’re right. We were so grateful to meet very nice hotel staff that helped us for sure. 🥹🙏
now you are in my country 😂
😉 So much to explore! 😅
@ChovyTravel From Jakarta you can go to Bogor by KRL or Bandung by fast train or train All transportation is comfortable with air conditioning and some are is quite cheap, worth 10 Thai bhat you can go to Bogor by air-conditioned KRL, enjoy the trip
We’re definitely going to try to do different things while we’re here! Thanks for the recommendation! 💚😊🫶👍
Hopefully , after Indonesia, your next destination will be the Philippines 🇵🇭 😊😊😊
Maybe 😉
haloo Lee Min Ho
Huh? 😅
Maybe the real Chinese meatballs are tastier? The problem is we don't eat pork. 😅😅😅
We noticed some places didn’t offer pork, but we still enjoyed the food 🧡
Subtitel Indonesia
Yes! There’s subtitle option for Indonesian 😃
dont pour the soup to the noodle, eat separately every single slurp..
Ahh like Tsukemen? Dipping the noodles?
@@ChovyTravel First, eat the noodles, then sip the soup
Kl kamu mengatakan bnyk pengaruh koreanya kelirubung...kamu harus belajar banyak ttg Indonesia terutama makanan dan budayanya...
Okay thank you for thinking of us! 🥹❤️ We make sure to workout and take supplements. We also take breaks in between. Don’t worry 😉
I think Yorkyakarta is better than Jakarta
Really!? Is that more suitable for foreigners than Jakarta?
@ChovyTravel The city there is beautiful, charming and has its own unique character, and I feel that the overall atmosphere is more relaxed than Jakarta. There are fewer foreigners, but the locals are very friendly. I recommend Malioboro Market, it is a large and cheap market.
@@ChovyTravelif you want suitable for foreigners then it's Bali. Outside of Bali pretty much the same, not so many foreigners and not "suitable" for foreigners. But Yogyakarta there are plenty tourist there, definitely should go there
Got it! Thanks for the suggestion! 😊❤️🫶🥰
I see. Thanks! We’ll consider it for future visits. ☺️👍❤️🫶
