    Well done guys. Your getting there. Keep going forward as Life in Ireland will turn out just fine. Believe in yourselves. I have South African colleagues and Neighbours doing very well.

    be gentle on the boot latch, they come off easily in qashqai's, but can be glued back on with suitable glue if they do

    Hi. Welcome to Ireland, best wishes for your new chapter in your lives. I'm getting some work done on my house, and we had an engineer from South Africa, he's living here for the past 5 year along with his South African wife, they've just bought their 1st house with an acre of land, and had 2 more children since they've arrived here, he told me they're all very happy here. Even the Irish weather doesn't annoy them too much. Just to say if you're buying bigger items, always look outside of the Dublin area, as you'll often find prices are much lower 😉

      Yes this is what we have been told and agree. Just sometimes not always the most practical to implement 🤗
      Thanks for the welcome 🤗

    Buying used cards is stressful! I just spent the last 2 months visiting loads of places (by train) before I eventually ended up with my Honda. Loads of wasted trips! Glade you found one though.

      It was SO stressful! And worst part was that the car we landed up buying had problems as well. But glad our car is good now and that we have something to get us around :)

    The dealerships offer hire purchase options so maybe you don`t need a bank loan.

    Hi, congratulation for the new member of family, can you recommend the showroom for buying used cars in a best price ? how much did you pay for yours and how much was it driven?

    • @BiancaKade
      @BiancaKade  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We bought from a private seller which I wouldn’t recommend because our clutch gave in after 2 months. 🙈
      If I was buying again I would decide based on the best price/best mileage available on car zone. I would then look at reviews of the dealer.

    Hi, thanks for the video! As folks without a credit history, what were your initial insurance premiums like? Thanks..

    • @BiancaKade
      @BiancaKade  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Our initial insurance premium was high because we weren't able to get a no claims bonus confirmation from our SA insurers. The lack of credit history is more of a barrier in getting a loan for the car.

    Hey guys, Did you need to redo your driving test to get a Irish drivers license?

    • @BiancaKade
      @BiancaKade  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Nicolas, we did not need to redo our drivers test. We exchange our South African licenses within the first year of moving to Ireland 👍🏻

    Hi, thank you for sharing your experience :) how do you know the insurance cost for each car ? Is there an highway tax as well ?

    • @BiancaKade
      @BiancaKade  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Carole - we phoned to get quotes for the different types of cars.
      There is an annual tax called NCT and then on certain highways there are tolls.
