I lost my dad on 24/12/2023. I thank God because dad did not suffer any pain even though he had an incurable heart and lungs condition. That alone made me bless God because I have lived in pain for about 23 years and I know how it feels.
I can relate with you. I lost my dad on 23rd Dec 2023. He also did not suffer much pain. He was in hospital for only 3 days. It is however still very painful to be without my dad. It's never easy.

Pole Caro, this reminds me of my dad..failed lungs and dialysis. Even in sickness, he used to give little cash to the Windows and widowers in his church. I used to be a home care nurse for palliative patients at home, and yes, we support the patient but we forget the family member taking care of them. I will support you in ur new organisation. Dialysis is very expensive, and we have to buy blood as well. I think what we luck is pain Management medications in later life. Morphine, Oxycodon etc

Hugs Carol. I went through the same thing in twenty eleven whe my husband was in the hospital only to be sent home because the doctors had nothing to offer. He had metastatic cancer which had started from the kidneys,to the lungs and settled in in the brain. He was in so much pain and I still have scratch marks where he used to hold when in pain.. It was so painful.

My dad went through diabetes his first leg ilifanyiwa mutation at kerugoya medical his second leg went through the same at Nairobi hosp,hiyo ugonjwa ilitukula pesa till we were left with nothing 😭😭😭😭😭we later lost him at Kenyatta out of his lungs failing.we lost him mwezi wa nane last year i do wish many things coz this pains me till date but may his soul rest in eternal peace...

Whenever I recall the pain one undergoes during the dialysis process, that my Dad used to undergo, I can feel her pain. We used to have stress right, left, and centre, until he went to be with the Lord. Take it easy, Caro!
