I'm 37 and my skin is pretty "normal" with no dryness or particular oily areas. I do have early signs of aging like fine lines/texture, as well as some sun damage and REDNESS!
I don't use fake tan, but I get very tan naturally in the summer as I have an olive undertone so my face is often a LOT lighter than my body, because I keep my face very well protected to keep my melasma under control and signs of aging at bay!

Natasha states on the back of the box that the palette comes in, to use your finger fir certain ones and other techniques for the different formulas . My shimmers were very vibrant. I appreciate that she did that.

I am so glad you had a lovely time with your family. Kids grow up so quick every moment you can snatch is precious. My son is 20 now and in college, I miss so much when he was small and we had more time together. I still make his lunches and do his laundry lol.

Have you tried the new Tom Ford shade and illuminate concealer yet ? It would be interesting how do you like it ?
The fact that the shimmers are more subdued in the Retro palette is a plus for me and my mature lids. Pat McGrath can be a bit much for me for day to day wear and for my lids. I am now seriously tempted to pick it up the Natasha Denona palette. Glad you had some time off with your family and made it through the back to school transition. I hope you had on waterproof mascara. ❤️

Great to see you back filming again, glad you had some quality time with the family too. I'm very new to applying makeup and with eyeshadows I can never get the colours right. I've tried using a lighter one all over, then darker in the corner and shimmers in the middle but it just looks a mess 😥 You mentioned a transition shade, how do you decide what colour to use for that please ? I just can't seem to get the colours right ! ❤

What a great surprise for your kids! That’s what it’s all about. I have more darkness under my left eye. I love the NARS corrector but if I’m experiencing any dryness under the eyes I like the Bobbi Brown corrector more.
Which liquid lipstick of Chanel do you like? I’m still on the lookout for a good liquid lipstick, and I hate when they dry up my lips.
I know you kept talking about how light the Ilia bronzer was on you but I LOVED how natural it looked. It seemed like a great undertone for you, at least from my screen. I totally understand you wanting a deeper color for your bronzer but I wouldn’t shy away from this shade, especially when you’re feeling like a no makeup makeup day.
I love your videos! I have dry, very sensitive skin. Most all makeups make me itch so after working through a mountain of brands, only Bare Minerals actually worked and made me look flawlessly beautiful. I love Prime Time primer by BM, have you tried it?
hi Charlotte i have just ordered her new palette retro but its out of stock but thank goodness i paid for it so it will be coming my way , i must say it looks gorgeous, apparently the the centre shade is a magic shade which you need to use your finger with and it a topper shade ! and it lights up it explains on the box ! i use becca peach colour correction then my armani silk concealer and no creasing ! i love charlotte tilbury nude face palette perfect for my pale skin . bye for now love liz xx
Would love to see comparison of mattes between ND glam and CT sophisticate quad. I have the CT, rarely wear shimmer and when I do it’s usually a champagne gold on inner corner (don’t need so many shimmers).

I’m wearing ysl touche eclat creme foundation no BR20 as it’s more coverage than the former formulation but it’s cakey so I’d need to prep my skin well by using oil as primer or their new primer with silvery fragments. I enjoyed wearing rouge Dior forever liquid in 760 forever glam and 959 forever bold as they’re mask proof. Thanks for sharing your new collection with us. 😘

Im really excited for this video bc I am gonna order the ND new retro palette tonight when I can. I want it bc it reminds me of the glam palette that I love but still my color story like the glam. I know the nars palette is amazing bc I have it. The rest I'm curious about as well. I love the look u posted on IG about this video, it was so gorgeous and so me. Makes me more excited about the ND retro!

I'm actually so happy to hear that the shimmers are subtle! This might be the first midi that works for me 😍 bronze didn't work for me as I found the shimmers to be too heavy!❤️

I’m a similar skin tone to you. Do you think pats concealer in 10 that is peach undertoned could function as an under eye color corrector if just used in the areas needed?

I think Retro reminds me a bit of a cross between the ABH Modern Renaissance and ND Glam palette. I was hoping for some really pretty greens mixed with peachy pinks. Your look is pretty though! Hope you love it.

I agree Laura. I.think it's just an average pink palette. If it had been as you suggested, I would have bought it. I have most of the others but this one just isn't doing it for me. I'd love a green palette from her but suspect I may be alone in that!

You can definitely have one undereye worse or better than the other. I have more darkness around one eye for sure.

Glad you took time off and enjoy your time with your family. I have been curious about the Nars Color Correctors, I have heard and read mixed reviews on the product. I think it looks great under your eyes it definitely got rid of the darkness, I think I'm going to try it, if it temporarily gives me the well rested look it's worth it.

Do you curl your eyelashes or are they naturally like that? I’m so jealous! If you do curl them, how do you keep them from uncurling when you put mascara on? I always find they just straighten out unless I use a waterproof mascara. X

I can't wait to get my sticky paws 🐾on this palette. I don't like pale sickly pink eyeshadows, but I'm willing to forgive that because of all the other beautiful colours. I've got the mini Retro which I think will fit in quite nicely 😊.

I'm an expert on correctors, trust me, I have them all! I've been using the Nars one for almost 2 weeks and it's definitely THE best out there. It's not greasy, the applicator is very precise and the level of "peachiness" is perfect (I have the medium) for my extremely dark undereye circles.
I've seen the ND Retro palette compared to the Huda Naughty palette, the swatches were enough for me to decide I didn't need the midi Retro. If these were colours I really gravitated towards, then I would probably buy the Retro. I'll hold out for the greens she's promised us, 😉
No, you're not the only one who cries willy nilly at school stuff. I hated the return to school after any term breaks and the start of a new year was awful for me. I even ran after a coach (it was conveying the school children on a day trip) crying and waving to my son - who was cringing with embarrassment.
My youngest us at uni now and, believe me, seeing them off doesn't get any easier 😭😭. ❣❣❣

I am SO disappointed with the light shimmers in the new Retro palette!!! I was watching anxiously to see what you would think when you got to them and sure enough you noticed!! Although you were much kinder than I was about it. Lol! For those of us light/medium Cool-toned we absolutely need a very light shimmer on the lid and we don't have that in this palette. And why not? There are shades that look the same on the eye, meanwhile she could have given us a nice dark gray or green & at least one beautiful pigmented light shimmer/metallic. This is why we need TH-camrs like you who are honest, I should have waited!! It's deceptive & disheartening when you just look at the palette... I'm not going to return it because I love the lighter mattes, but it's not a standalone. Thanks for sharing, I appreciate & trust your opinion even more. 🤍

The Retro totally reminds me of the Lila palette and at least two shades are repeats (possibly even 3). Amara and Nude Mauve are also in Lila (possibly Helio as well but I can’t be bothered going upstairs to check 😂). Looks beautiful on your eyes though xxx
