All 32 games will lead up to the Christmas day games where those games will be scheduled a week or two before that week, so the NBA will have the freedom to make the best match-ups possible with the most deserving teams. The Road To Glory Tournament After the Christmas day games, starting will be the The Road To Glory Tournament and yes the name is subject to change. This tournament will have all 30 NBA teams and the top teams regardless of conference will have a first round bye. The tournament will be a best of three format and the the higher seed will play 1 home game, one away and then if necessary one last home game. This tournament will lead into all-star weekend and during this tournament since there will be a lack of play from most of the teams in the league, the G-League will be starting at the beginning of this tournament. To incentivise teams to play in this tournament, the winning team will receive first most all of their wins and none of their losses. The reward from this tournament will be a first round pick with 25% lottery chances and the easiest schedule in the league for the next 20 games. The losing teams will receive only half their wins and all of their losses. The All Star Weekend The All-Star weekend festivities will be decided year by year to add an element of surprise to the event. The only events that will never be replaced is the all-star game itself. The All-star game will be picked the same way it has been picked the past two years with playground pick them style. The All-Star game would be best players regardless of positions and the starters will be picked the same way. The Incentive will still include the money to the charity but as an addition, the players on the winning team, and their individual teams will all receive a trade pass. The trade pass is a pass allowing a team to trade without any restrictions including having to match salaries. Those player’s teams will be allowed to trade with each other until the trade deadline which will be about the end of february. And the MVP of the All Star game which will be decided by the coaches, players and fans on the opposing teams will give his team the ultimate trade pass, allowing his team to trade with every team in the league without any restrictions until the end of february. The Next 20 Games Will Be Played Under The Effect Of The Road Of Glory Tournament This will be the time to load manage for the team that won the Road To Glory Tournament and the time for teams to establish their seeding going into the red robin tournament to potentially end their season. Their may be a lot of trades going on during this part of the season because of the trade passes. Red Robin Tournament(Name Subject To Change) The tournament will be played as such; Every team in every division will play each other. The top seeded team only has to win once in their match-up against their lower seeded opponent and the lower seeded team has to win twice in order to win that match up against the opposing team. Whichever team wins the most matchups in their divisions, will sit out the rest of the season and depending on their record earn a playoff berth. If the team that wins in their division has less than 30 wins than team only receives the easiest possible schedule in the next 12 games in a playoff stand. And the wins in the red robin tournament count as well. If the division champion is in between 30 and 45 wins then they will receive the 4th to 8th seed according to their record compared to the other division champions, in the payoffs. But if the division winner has over 45 wins they automatically receive the top seed going into the playoffs according to their record compared to the other division champions The Next 12 Games The next 12 games will be the last of the nba regular season. These games will usually only consist of only 24 teams playing because of the red robin tournament effects. If a team already with a playoff berth did not win a red robin tournament this will be their opportunity to rest their players legally and for teams in the playoff hunt this will be their opportunity to cement their playoff spot. These last 12 games will also be used to decide the draft lottery. The top two teams in the conference opposite of the conference that the winner of the Road To Glory winner and the top team in that conference will receive the 25% lottery odds that the RTG winner did. Those four teams will be the only teams to receive the 25% lottery chances. And if a team somehow wins both then that team receives two first round picks with the 25% lottery chances, possibly rejuvenating a franchise. The division winners form the red robin tournament receive 15% lottery odds unless they were the winners of the Road To Glory Tourney. This will give fringe playoff teams the next big piece they need to become a contender. The G-League season would have ended by the beginning of these 12 games so this will be their teams chance to bring them up for a last playoff stand. Then the playoffs will continue as usual and that will end the new NBA season. (Sorry for the spelling)
