Hey Henry! Sunshine Cup is about to go but I wanted to share the team I have been using and took me to expert quite easy! Tbh it feels like somewhat cheating, it wipes out Vigoroth/Gligar/Noctowl (or Pidgeot/Steelix), Magcargo and double grass teams. Shadow Swampert (lead), Talonflame and Pidgeot. It is quite simple, with shadow Swampert you have to force a shield on lead Vigoroths and hit one Hydro Cannon, then catch the second Body Slam on Talonflame (luckily sneaking an Incinerate). With Talonflame you go for Brave Bird, it will force the last shield or leave a very damaged mon. Then Pidgeot enters to farm down. If a Steel/Ground enters you start debuffing his attack in case they want to throw his energy on Swampert (who has 1/2 HP), then switch out. Finally Swampert can start farming and shooting Hydros OR farming the low HP Vigoroth if the opponent decide to switch out. Then just use your last shield on the last mon and you will have the needed energy to win the match. It would be cool if in the future you could try this NUKE team, Shadow Swampert's Hydros and Brave Birds are strong af!
I've ran this team on the first 2 days of the cup before meta changed. Worked decent. Now when meta changed teams are way more flexible than just a vig safe swap
ive actually been using decidueye with leafage as the fastmove. You can just farm to 100 energy and throw one against vigoroth to take it out, but the nice thing is youll have less hp for flyers to farm after you take switch (and youll have a brave bird to throw as well
It makes sense why this team just obliterated me. Right before I watched this I encountered this team. My opponent was running magical leaf on his decidueye.
I haven't been using vigoroth. I have been going with Gengar swampert Hawlucha is honestly been stumping so many people I highly recommend on making a video showcase of Hawlucha if you haven't already I believe you can or can't use him for sunshine cup idk but for ultra league you can and hawlucha is smacking people I never knew it was that good in pvp until today actually.
Tropius’ moveset highlights just how awful a move Aerial Ace still is even after its buff. Leaf Blade does 15 more damage while costing 5 *less* energy than Aerial Ace. I guess it’s somewhat balanced by Grass being resisted by a whopping 7 types compared to Flying being resisted by only 3.
Watching the Vigoroths get walled is all well and good, but what's really satisfying is seeing those Swamperts get shredded to pieces.

glad to see decidueye finally finding some use in pvp since it's basically useless in open metas, better fast move when niantic 😢
They already gave it leafage and magical leaf.

I’ve been running Blaziken lead, Vigoroth safe swap and Obstagoon closer. It’s been working extremely well for me
