My son sent me a joke with that Jada and Tupac image that read, "Here's one bullet Tupac dodged..." I almost effing died laughing!
I used to work for an Indian company and most of the guys from India in our shop were pretty hesitant to assimilate into the American culture. One guy, however, wholeheartedly embraced it. In fact, he embraced it so much that he would come to work wearing cowboy boots, a baseball cap or cowboy hat, etc. One day he came up to me and asked, "where can I go to 'Get Jiggy Wit It.'"
I had no clue how to respond, but I couldn't contain my laughter when he said it. 🤣

You should have looked him in the eye and said, "follow me" and then led him to a small storage closet, where you put on some 80s rap and start dancing. When he inevitably questions what's going on, you keep dancing (always keep dancing in these scenarios) and tell him this is what getting jiggy wit it means. And again, no matter what he does it's imperative that you keep dancing throughout this encounter.

I always assumed the term "hits different" means interpreting something in a different way after a big event (like a death.) For example, David Bowie's final album Blackstar hits different after his death. Knowing he recorded those songs while on the verge of death makes the listener interpret the songs in a different way than they otherwise would have.
