  • In 2024, Jorge Martin won the Riders' Championship on a satellite bike for Pramac Racing, breaking the precedent for a more egalitarian era in MotoGP. However, this success is unlikely to be replicated anytime soon. Pramac's success is due to the departure of Jorge Martin and the shift from Ducati to Yamaha machinery. This change has led to Yamaha's struggles, with Fabio Quartararo finishing 13th in 2024 and Jack Miller and Miguel Oliveira unlikely to turn their fortunes around. Factory teams remain the ultimate aspiration for most MotoGP riders, as the allure of manufacturer development and flagship team racing outweighs satellite setups.

though he performed better in a satelite team, that doesn't mean he would perform better in the factory aprilia, ducati is still the best manufacturer and marquezs lap time and performance on the factory Ducati is diabolical, i want martin to win again but the odds are not looking good for the young spaniard. Still hoping that Aprilia could claim the title with Martin

If he can extract what Mavick did at Usgp and few other times he could be unbeatable. Though we dont know if the Aprillia can do that outside Austin, USA. If they can get electronics right in theory they could. Thats really where ducatti rules, electronics finely tuned to Michelin tires. That and amazing ride height devices

have you actually compared marquez's times this year, compared to bagnaia and martins of last year, on the same machinery?
If Marquez had the factory ducati last year, against martin and bagnaia, he would of absolutely destroyed them both.
Before you say im a marquez fan btw, yes i am because i enjoy watching talent, but ive watched the GP since the 2000's and im a Rossi man.
But you cannot deny that Marquez if he is riding well is still by far the best rider on that grid still, especially once hes calmed down abit also like he has done this year.

Ducati’s performance is tough to match, but Martin’s talent keeps hope alive for an Aprilia title!

Jorge got factory bike in satellite team, not satellite bike. It's big difference.

Pecco scored more points in 2024 than 2023 so martin's consistent performance is the reason to win the title

Consistency plays a huge role, and Martin’s steady performance helped him secure the title.

I'm almost certain that in 2026 Martin will be a Honda rider. Why? Well, Aprilia has neither the resources nor the people (the chief designer left for Honda), Honda has no top rider, and Martin's best friend Espargaro (who brought him to Aprilia) has become a Honda test rider. Everything is pointing towards Martin's arrival at Honda.

That makes a lot of sense! Honda seems like the next logical step for Martin with his connections and skills.
