I watched these planes take off and land on a daily basis when I was doing my national service in the late 70's. It is certainly a beautiful fighter jet, graceful and agile. I just don't recall them coming is at such high speed to land though.....
They do land very fast indeed because of their tiny size, that's why it's landing gear is so long as well. If you think this came sown quick you had to see the III drop to the runway..

One of the best interceptors and also a very capable attack plane. I believe the one in the video is the prototype equipped with the Mig-29s engine. It is still a front-line fighter. Only serious limiting factors are small size and very narrow nose, not capable of housing a big sophisticated radar. But beautiful...
Well done. Every other video is set to loud, intrusive music. This is well edited and well filmed, good sound editing too. This may well be the best looking jet ever built. One of the top ones, anyway. Just a all-around handsome plane, without any flaws. The landing gear aren't pretty, but they look good nevertheless. Look at that landing speed though. Amazing to think they liked this because its landing speed was LOWER than the Mirage III and 5! Can't even use flaps on a tailless delta.

i just saw it yesterday around the Cape int airport. when is it coming back again. i'm waiting for it. hopefully he will do a low level flying so that i can take a photo of it.

One had a Mig engine fitted as a modification
This is the Mirage F1 conversion with the Klimov RD-33 engine from the MiG29, as can clearly be seen from the exhaust nozzle.
See at 1:05". That's a 09K50's nozzle, you 've got to clean your screen.
