Such wisdom Aaron. I am in a 26 yr relationship where I began my awakening process years back. So many times I was like, we are speaking an entirely different language. We dont even share the same interests anymore. I could just walk but my ego quickly got checked by the higher self/spirit saying "or you could stay and hold the light for your friend inviting him to a much easier path". Every Master offers an invitation never a demand to spiritual evolution. We have to remove the distorted belief system that the other is here to complete us somehow or make us happy. Only our connection to the Divine Source can do that. ❤

What helped me to open up my awareness was just learning to not think and to drop the mind completely becoming very aware of myself and just being not worrying about anything just being all worry all the suffering. All the guilt or the shame is just from the mind, it doesn’t exist. It literally does not exist.

Jiu Jitsu is the perfect analogy. It forces you to confront your ego. In my Dojo we have a saying, leave your ego at the door or the mat will make you confront it. Beautiful message. Love and light family.

One of the things I would like to add to this already incredibly powerful video is that - negative polarization (withdrawing inwards) is not just about the overt qualities of selfishness, greed, judgment but also qualities of self-hate, despair, hopelessness, fear, unworthiness that make you want to withdraw from the world. This is rooted in judgement (self-judgement of course) but most people may not connect those despairing moments as negative polarization and get stuck there. Some of the kindest and most generous people (who would not identify with greed and selfishness) can negatively polarize and not know that they are doing it because they don’t associate withdrawing from the world (disconnecting from others as self punishment or to prevent hurting others) as contributing to negative polarization because it feels altruistic. This is a blind-spot in consciousness disguised as “doing the right thing”. This is why hurt people, hurt people. No one thinks of themselves as selfish or greedy. Negatively polarized people are always in pain.
I was doing this to myself for many years. Hard to recognise, hard to accept and forgive. Totally doable though.
Basically it is hidden selfishness, at least that’s how I call it now 😂
Anyway it can be worse than greed, because it can become easy to make yourself a victim and feel proud about it also🤦♂️
At least greedy people are honest about it you know?
Separation consciousness at its finest as one excludes himself from others and somehow assumes, it’s ok to feel bad and not like themselves. BUT if another makes negative comment towards them, either hell breaks loose or self pity gets worse.
I know that stuff, I’ve been there 😅 Just putting a fake persona on, but when in home almost self hating… crazy.
Now I laugh at myself for those times and say it’s ok you didn’t know better back then.
It’s almost like a whole different life…

I believe I live from a giving state, it’s the nature of my being. But sometimes the constant take, take, take from others without reciprocity drains my soul and I get frustrated. But I’m learning to not let the actions of others disrupt who I am at my core. Work in progress 🙃 Gratitude Aaron ((((((💗)))))
Yeah that’s a good opportunity to learn UNCONDITIONAL Love by practicing it…
How? No expectations of reciprocating.
How?
Acceptance. With acceptance you can’t get frustrated or drained.
With discernment also you can see who just uses you, so stopping giving is a positive decision 😊

Interesting 3 beliefs of the ego you mentioned. Like an unholy trinity: 1) lack, 2) attachments, and 3) control. I hadn't heard of that before and will ponder it.

Wow. I just finished doing some mind body work where I realized what is keeping me from reaching my goal is unwillingness to receive because I feel unworthy of receiving the experience achieving that goal will bring me.
I can give and give, but if I'm not also receiving, I'm going to block that flow.
I cannot give to others what I'm unwilling to first give myself. If I don't have love, I cannot give it. If I don't have wealth, I cannot give it.
The source is our Creator and is within is. If we learn to love ourselves first, we have love to give others and no need to take because the abundance within our well is bottomless. ❤

Great video. That Jiu-Jitsu principle gave me another revelation about how the ego puts its guard up. We are usually not in lovong relationship when we are trying to preserve ourselves (or our limbs) by contracting and only trying to create distance. For example the one who's having a bad day and chooses to create distance by putting on a mask. Or the one who chooses not to close distance by asking how you're doing and seeking a genuine answer.

ps I listened to your conversation about a Course in Miracles. I recently listened to a channel sharing a message from Yeshua, where he said that he used the author of the course as a channel for the teachings that he wished to bring forward ❤
I believe it would be faster for people to reach a place of acceptance of something before forgiveness of something. It's a lower bar requirement for perceiving the real issue and still gets at the root of the problem as quickly as forgiving. Doesn't mean you'll overcome the situation but if you're flailing desperately, here's your sign.

It is a very smart way how he presents it. I had all the time the feeling something doesn't fit.
It lacks the philosophical foundation. It is slick and very sophisticated but it is still a evangelic pastor who tries to convince instead of a wisdom teacher who does inaugurates his pupil. He puts different traditions in a blender and lets them fit in his beliefs.
He is very smart and genuine but he also tries to convince with his own charming personality, but hides his own doubts.
