    So was that a foul or not, the one that Shane questioned? The balls were quite close together and the cue ball jumped a foot in the air. I don't know the details of close-to-object-ball fouls but can someone knowledgeable please comment on it? Thanks.

    Thanks Dan.
    I'm just curious as hell to see Shane's face @1:34:50 ... was that really what Tony was going for??? Bc that was freaking AMAZING if so. And I can't imagine what the heck else he could've possibly been going for. But holy crazy was that a hard shot. Skim that ball at 10 mph and billiard those two balls full (on the long rail by shane's pocket) ..? I mean, wow.

    Hi, I'm in the future and just wondered if laying your cue on the table to read the angle is a foul in one pocket? I saw Earl Strickland get called on it in the Mosconi cup (I think it was the Mosconi) a few years back. Tony did it early on but nothing was said.
    I live in Thailand and I'm trying to get guys to play one pocket, kick safe and straight pool but they're all hung up on 8 ball which I'm not a big fan of. I do have a few guys toying with Saratoga though. Great stream btw.

      It’s the players decision because it’s a money match, the rules should be set before they start the game but this is rare, it’s like using a ball to measure plays on the table. If Shane didn’t like him doing it I’m sure he will mention it but he didn’t care. Tournaments have rules you have to follow.

    If each man put up five grand and one wins 10,,000, 5000 of it is his own money, right? So the winner stands to win 5000. I don't see how that is a 10,000 match. They are playing for 5000.

    Why the people on the mikes ? They aren't commentating in any way. I do however, love the camera work...one view of the whole table. Oh, and this is for $5,000 as that is what the stakes are. I have witnessed 1-pocket $5,000 a game. So no, this is not for $10,000.

    SVB, 3rd game, @ 1 hr 16:20 with ball in hand behind the string, why not cross bank the rear ball of the 4 ball spot cluster towards his hole starting from the other side of the table? He needed only 1 ball, why break up the cluster, which made it possible for Chohan, who needed all, to run balls.
    Never seen such a brain fart in years of watching one pocket money players like Jack Cooney, John Haggar, Flyboy Jim Spears, and Bugs gamble for much bigger stakes @ the no longer Rusty's 24 hr bulliards on W NW Hwy, Dallas.
    That might have been the place where in 86 Efren may have played one of his first one pocket sessions, playing a very good local and completely ambidextrous Dennis Lee even up. When I came back the next day, they were just finishing up dead even.
    Little Al, Baltimore Johnny, Big Sam, Ruben, the Lizard, nor the road players who came through (Bobby Hunter, Buddy Hall, Nick Varner, Sammy Jones & many more) wanted no part of Efren.
    Shout out to my old pal Dave aka Bigfoot, if you ever see a converted Frito Lay truck with a big Canoe on the roof and Alaska plates. Who remembers monster stakehorse cannonball, from the Carolinas (later on Americas MW)?
    Thanks for putting up the videos

    I really like One Pocket. But it shouldn't be aloud, to jump the Cueball out of the table, when the Opponents Ball is in his Pocket. Come on, Pool should be a Gentlemans Sport and we do not need to break glasses or even hurt other persons around the table. It even doesn't look good. In other words, a Cueball only should leave the table without intention. If a ball is in your opponents pocket and you can't scratch the cueball in the same pocket, then try to scratch it in an other pocket. Maybe One Pocket come back in the future, players start to like to play it again, but change only this one rule. ☝️😉

    • @patrickbaker2802
      @patrickbaker2802 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It should not be allowed because you don't know how to do it? You jump the ball off the table in the instance where you cannot follow the ball in so the opponent doesn't get the ball as his score. Otherwise, a simple follow shot with the cue accomplishes the deed. It is called one-pocket strategy.

    • @JC-H
      @JC-H 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      When you start playing 1pocket I’m sure you will understand that rule is the one you can’t change.

    there ought to be a law: nobody is allowed to make commentary on a game they do not understand or play. Little twinkie lady should go to the sidelines and be silent. "I play good enough to get by" ... please.......
