I think it's quite funny for the past few hundred years blade shearers have always used the old blades not this new technology and to this day they still use the old blades and why is that? Because it works and has always worked for hundreds of years and will continue like that for years to come
For those who dont have the skills to set up the old blades this new technology allows them a level of performance superior to that of the old blades. The tool steel blades will always out perform the high carbon steel of the old blades in terms of edge retention/durability and longevity. Not one person who owns and uses the Watson shears would ever go back to using the inferior old shears.
@@richardwatson8219 could be explosives hidden in the wool .....! a lot safer than a engine driven shears ...........have done a few in the past but not as neat as you ........need a good hot day with the grease up in the wool .........can be hard to come by in ireland in our summers ......

That sheep is bleeding in several places. I have never sheared a sheep, so I cannot say if he did bad or good, but he did cut it quite a few times.

That's the thing with shearing with blades, once you build the skills it easier than shearing with machines, also is much kinder on the animal
