Omg I remember this Back when soaps were at their most epic I watched for a couple of years Sonny and Brenda, Robin and Stone and this storyline So amazing
I was already in tears with this great storyline, but I totally lost it when Tony bends down to listen to his daughter’s heart beating in his niece’s chest. Omg, I’m even in tears as I’m posting this comment. Especially since this was mentioned at Bobbie’s funeral.
So beautiful, so tender. Tony was so gentle and kind. Why oh why did GH turn Tony into a bad guy? And why oh why didn't Brad Maule win an Emmy? God bless,
To prop up the character of Carly. They have destroying other characters to make Carly look better for 25 years. Very sad. Tony and others were much better and indepth characters.

One of the very best story-lines in soap history. This scene was iconic.
Thirty years later, and I still can't watch this scene without sobbing.

I will never understand why he didn't win an Emmy for this.
Oh my goodness! Heart wrenching. I was not watching then but it seems like some of the best story was in those years.
This whole story was a masterpiece.

Listen to Bonnie Rait's song Just Like That. It's heart wrenching. It's about the same thing.

With today’s episode this really hit hard
Came back to this scene after seeing Bobbie’s memorial episodes
Saddest moment in GH death history!
When Laura went to see Lucky's body after the fire killed him. When she said "I want to see my baby one more time" God that scene killed me.
Brad was robbed of an Emmy win
Tony was never the same after B.J.'s death.
Perhaps, the most poignant scene in soap opera history.
There have been many transplant stories done since but nothing has come close to this level
It's arguably one of the best GH storylines of all time. Stone's battle with AIDS I think was the best.

I wholeheartedly agree.
