They were only given that title because a superior ninja from another village recognised their skill as indviduals and as a team. Also he knew the hidden leaf would win the 2nd great ninja war. It wasn't like he went around looking for worthy candidates for the title.

I mean, the Sannin won an entire shinobi war for the Leaf Village, and Saru during his time was known as both The Professor and the God of Shinobi. I bet together they would have given Madara a run for his money.

He was ancient, did not have the chakra reserves that he once possessed, and was certainly not as nimble or strong. All I'm saying is that when they were all younger and in their primes, together I can only imagine what a force they must have been. Saru was hailed as the strongest hokage in his prime, and the Legendary Sannin were cunning, had incredible jutsu abilities, and essentially no weaknesses. Personally, I think they would have taken down Madara without all of his additions.

Her abilities allow her to defy death as long as she has chakra, and all she needs is a clear punch to destroy her opponent. Most of the kages have superior combat abilities for sure, but Tsunade is far from being the weakest.

He wasn't pure evil. Very few villains in Naruto actually *are* since even Orochimaru has a change of heart and becomes a 'good guy' and one of Naruto's allies during the war. It took a long time, but Kabuto ends up saving Sasuke's life during the war. He also basically becomes Naruto's dark mirror, as Kabuto gained (Snake) Sage Power purely for the sake of emulating Naruto's Sage Mode.
Trickster Wow the only thing that makes it different is the implied tone. If Kabuto said that, it’d be like he told Naruto to back off or else he’d kill him But when Tsunade says it she means it in a way for his safety.
Cheers and hands down for THE SANNINS, my favourite characters and the best squad from the entire Narutoverse. Becouse without them, team 7 wouldn't be today were they are, if it wasn't for this legendary people. Everything that Sakura knows to do in the battle, is due to Tsunade teaching, Kakashi only teach her to walk in the tree. Naruto wouldn't have his all forms of sage mode, kyuubi chakra control and the Rasengan, if it wasn't for Jiraya. And Sasuke couldn't keep up with Naruto with only the technique of Chidori and fire jutsu, if it wasn't for Orochimaru who gave him that huge boost of power from the curse mark, the snakes, the enourmous snake Manda, who saved Sasuke's life from Deidara final explosion, and the of course that snake technique who allows the user to "reborn" from his mouth, which also saved Sasuke's life from Itachi's Amaterasu. So it's clearly easy to understand for everyone, why I named them the BEST SQUAD from Naruto series. Also, their soundtrack it's just amazing ( just like they are ) so much, that it gaves me ear&heartgasm.

Sannin is not a ninja rank, it's just a title given to Orochimaru, Tsunade and Jiraiya after the fight with Hanzo, which became legendary. So you could say that Naruto, Sasuke and Sakura, for being their students and having been legendary ninja in the 4th ninja world war, they are already sannin, Naruto is just also a hokage.
