- FINALLY, I was able to figure out a way to get this video rendered. My software kept crashing due to the file's size.
I tried to incorporate the couples that I had missed the first time. Thanks for everyone's input (and votes). I still hope to make a video featuring the couples who receive the most votes as your favorites. Maybe you'll find a duo in this video that you overlooked the first time.
Barnabas and Angelique were the best. The MOST chemistry of any of the DS couples. Sparks flew and passions oozed whenever they encountered each other.
my favorite is Josette and Barnabas , I really liked their true emotion for each other, Jonathan and Katherine were a good team to gether to make their characters true to the part
Barnabas, Maggie, Josette, Kitty!! All those women in one person.. Barn would go crazy. But their chemistry was awesome.
For me it's always been Barnabas and Julia. I've always adored them. I also enjoyed Joe and Maggie, Quentin and Beth, Tim and Rachel, and any pairing with John Karlan and Nancy Barrett.
As a fan of DS for over 40 years I have only one word for you.........A-W-E-S-O-M-E!!!!!

This is great and I too LOVE seeing all the DS couples! I think many of them work well together, but my favorite, always and forever, is Barnabas and Angelique. They are bound together through time more than any others, and she does redeem herself in the end, and they do finally find the love they'd been just missing for centuries. Love this! Since I know this show so well it was fun to know what was really going on with these couples. This is a very good video, I'd only point out (sorry if someone did below I didn't read the other comments) that it was Edward with Kitty, not Roger, Louis Edmonds played both characters but the 1897 character was Edward. And we usually spell it Vicki, not Vicky, but that's not as important.
I always did love Barnabas and Julia as well as Leticia and Desmond.
And one more couple after that--Barnabas and Lady Kitty Hampshire! :-)
Great collection of couples. I had forgotten a lot of those pairing. Ultimately it is Joe and Maggie for me as the perfect couple.

Oooh! I made a toon to this tune when I was a teen. lol. But seriously, I actually constructed an animation devoted to my favorite tv couples and then synched it to this very song. I remember how much fun that was.

well, my favorite pick is Joe Colthrer and Maggie Evans. because they where the first, original DS youngest couple ever to appear in love with each other, on the DS series.

I think Barnabas and Julia were the best couple and I think it's sweet how Julia takes the of dieing to save Barnabas and gets sick and about to die when Barnabas finds out just how much he loves her and said if she lived they would get married

Regrettably, no. :( I made it on my Packard Bell which, sadly, is no more. That was far before I learned my lesson about backing up files. Shame, too. My older brother had also made a pretty cool game on that computer, as well. Of course, his game was a rip-off (or HOMAGE- lol) to The Shining, but it was still pretty cool.

I like this compilation! But I would prefer, as a musical backdrop, hearing Donna Summer sing "This Time I Know It's For Real", or "The Only One", both from around 1989. It's just a matter of musical taste.

Barnabas was the male Scarlett Ohara, never realizing he had true love eternally in Angelique until he lost her.

Barnabas and Julia were the most important couple. They never had a romance, but their relationship drove most of the show.
Chris and Carolyn were the physically hottest couple.
Nathan and Suki were the biggest missed opportunity. It was a real shame they killed her off so soon. Those two grifters would have been fun to watch for longer.
Good point about Nathan and Suki. It would have been cool to have brought the actress who played Suki (Jane Draper) back to "modern times" like they did with Harry Slocum who played Noah/Harry.

Just thinking over this collection of famous "duos", "pairings": considering how the characters jumped from one bed to another, sometimes in a twinkling of an eye, I think the DS writers should have incorporated the contraction of sexually-transmitted diseases as part of the plot. Lord knows, given their fickle emotions, there should have been periodic outbreaks of the Clap, Herpes virus, Hepatitis A, B, C, D, ad infinitum, cervical and testicular cancer, chlamydia!!!
