    Yes its true, nursery workers are not respected, they are paid minimum wage for such a big responsibility, however nursery owners have beautiful expensive homes and cars. Sadly lots of passionate nursery workers are leaving the profession because of the pay.

      @@diam.2052 honestly that's rubish. Before I had my children I was an accountant. Nursery owners hardly make any money because the costs to run a nursery are so high. The regulations are crippling. Labour 20 years ago made early years about education and not childcare. Parents just want baby minders not educators. They could cut the costs and improve the quality by cutting the regulations. You dont need a 3 year qualification to look after babies. The nhs handed over my 4lb twins after 27 days on intensive care with a 30 second video and 2 flash cards. You could have a 6 week course to cover childcare and this would increase the up take. I would do it and so would a lot other mothers I know whilst their children are small. It's the same model they have in Germany to be fair. 😬

    I live in France and my kids have had free schools from nursery age 3. Schools open at 7,45 am to 6,30 pm and all for FREE.
