2016 - Plum High School 6th annual Pittsburgh Penguins Lipdub

On April 1, 2016, over 130 Television Production students, National Honor Society, and their friends came together at Plum Senior High School to film a lipdub dedicated to the Pittsburgh Penguins. Beginning in 1969 with ABC by Jackson 5, our one of a kind mashup highlights forty-one hit songs from each year that the Penguins made the playoffs. The song sends us back in time through Def Leppard, Vanilla Ice, Whitney Houston, the Spice Girls, and the Backstreet Boys. When we reach the year 2009, we recreate scenes from our very first lipdub, using a picture in a picture effect to show the similarities. Modern artists, which include Katy Perry, Ke$ha, and Adele, take us to the year 2016, and then we finish in the auditorium, again reenacting iconic scenes from our first lipdub. Former students Adam Flood and Jake McClelland even reprised their role from seven years ago. We hope you enjoy our video.
A special thanks to Pittsburgh Penguins mascot, Iceburgh, who made a guest appearance. We would also like to thank teachers Mr. Levarse, Mr. Magnusen, Mrs. Berrott, Ms. Lundy, Mrs. Dunn, Mrs. Bell, and Mrs. Lamm who stayed late to help decorate and supervise; Plum alums Jake Mitolo, Nick Poprocky, Adam Flood, and Jake McClelland for coming home to help us out; and all the students who gave up their Friday night to be a part of our 6th annual Pittsburgh Penguin lipdub video.
