I think this movie will hit a billion, Sonic made over $300 million and Sonic 2 made over $400 million and that was during the beginning and tailend of the pandemic where many theaters were still closed and lockdowns were still in placed in many places. The Sonic movie are probably the best video game movie adaptations we've ever seen, fun for the whole family.
I don't think so. Lots of people like me have loved these films since the 2nd, and it's coming out at a time where most of its competition has been delayed. It'll do well, but Mufasa will be the thing that holds it back from a million. I think about $700 million for this film.
I swear, Keanu Reeves is using the exact same tone for voice for Shadow that he used for Johnny Silverhand in Cyberpunk 2077. Hell the line "What I had to" almost sounds like it was ripped straight from Cyberpunk because it would fit his character perfectly.
