I have an entitled friend. the first time he came over for a sleep over, he was so rudely picky over food (no I don’t like THAT brand of frozen pizza, it’s gross), refused to drink anything we had in the house cause we didn’t have soda, kept changing his mind about what he wanted to eat AFTER I made it until I had five plates of different eggs, and then for breakfast my mom made pancakes. (Keep in mind my parents tried to be patient with him, they kept asking what he wanted only to get the response “I dunno but not that.”) My mom made pancakes FROM SCRATCH for breakfast and they tasted heckin delicious. And this boy - he took one bite and SPIT IT OUT with a gag of disgust. My mom took it well but I gave him a single toasted waffle and told him if he wasn’t happy he could leave. Safe to say he isn’t coming back.
I have encountered a few of these friends when my daughter used to have sleepovers. They qere a nightmere and extemely rude. I have to give one girl's parents major props though. They knew she was an extemely fussy and picky eater...So, they always sent her over with all her favorite foods already packed up. That way, hosting parents didnt have to go through great lengths finding something in their own home that should would actually enjoy..
Gosh I really hate those "but I am a single mom...."- people. My mom was a single mom and she is disabled and still she worked her ass off for me and never asked for anything from anyone for free. She is an amazing woman and I really look up to her and her strength.
I'm a single Mom, I raised 4 children mostly by myself their entire lives. I was married some in there, but...the 2 different marriages and fathers were unsupportive most of the time. I never asked for handouts expecting it to happen, but IF I saw a way to help us and potentially help someone else, or I knew what I would be asking for could be done without putting the someone/business in any hardship, I would ask. I have always told myself and my children, it NEVER hurts to ask any yes/no question, you always have a 50/50 chance of it being in your favor. For instance, I once asked a road construction company, near me, who was redoing their driveway, If when they had a truck coming by my place could they bring me some of the soil they were removing, for us some garden soil. The owner had zero problem and I had the soil before the day was out!

My oldest was born in 87 and my youngest in 2000. I thank GOD every day none of them expect or feel entitled to anything!!!!! I did "spoil" them in some ways, as I always made sure they had mid level clothing...i.e. name brand, but usually on sale, and they did have video games, stuff like that, BUT when they asked for anything, they knew we had to save for it and/or they had to earn it with chores around the house, etc., so they always had that delayed gratification instead of instant and entitled!!!!! Sometimes we don't even realize a blessing when we see it, but that was definitely a blessing for me and mine!!!
I raised my son without support from my ex husband, never used the excuse of being a “single Mom”, worked, went to school and got my bachelors and Masters degree while he was young. And I’m grateful that he has turned out to be a wonderful adult and father himself.
Here's entitled for you. I'm disabled, unable to work. Driving long distances gets painful but if a friend needs a lift I won't even take their gas money. One friend started to feel extra entitled to my taxi services calls me up one day and says he knows I like to have a reason to get out for a while so he volunteered me to drive him and his semi unstable friend all around some town 30-40 miles away for the entire afternoon. That would have been excruciatingly painful including three grown ass adults in a subcompact car. I said no. He offered gas money. I said no, that's too far, too long, it would be very painful. Then he tells me he already promised his boy my driving services! Not happening. He rarely talks to me these days now because I don't want to be a taxi. Oh, and he owes me several Benjamins.
That's why I just return favors and i don't do them because when I did favors they took me as an idiot and used me and when I said no heck nah they started treating me like idk i killed someone. And then started rumors telling every single person I know I'm bad im like this like that. And guess what i didn't give a f about who believed or not.
Apart from a feeble attempt at guilt-tripping you with promising his boy the trip (don't need to mention how stupid that was too) what was his reaction when you told him "no"? I mean... In Australia we have a diner called Karen's Diner and the staff all have to act like Karens. You are also forced to play games and participate in any activities they have planned. I've never been though it's just what I've seen on the website. If your name is Karen you get a free drink.

I once had a friend who liked a painting I did on a large piece of paper for an art class. She asked if she could make a copy of it at a Kinkos or something and I said "Sure! Just bring it back when you're finished". A week or so goes by and I haven't received my art back. One day I go to her home and on her wall, framed, was my art! I asked her wtf? She said that she liked it so much she had it framed. I told her that it wasn't a gift, and reminded her that she told me she wanted to make a copy because she knew I wanted to keep it. When I told her to take it off her wall she said to me "It's already framed and on my wall." 😐 Long story short she thought I was completely unreasonable and that it was hers now because she had it framed. Perhaps needless to say I took that thing of her wall and took it home. Even her husband was like "Really your taking our art off our walls?" My response, "It never was YOUR art. It is MY art, and just because she steals it and had it framed didn't make it hers". 🙄
We had this roommate who was friends with my SO, and I finally got pregnant after trying for 6 years, and the roommate would intentionally eat my food, and refused to buy his own until my SO got into a fight with him. I was sooooo ill when I was pregnant, so I could only eat like three different things, and couldn't stomach the tap water, and he would eat or drink my stuff while I was at work, or sleeping. He's a 30 year old divorced man, that has nothing to do with his only child, and moved back in with his mom because he can't do his laundry 🤭😂. He is entitled trash 🙄

When I was having my son (in 1993) my midwife recommend soothing music to ease labor so like any child of the 80's, I made a mix tape. Just went through my cassette collection and picked anything I found relaxing. So my contractions were 7 minutes long and 30 seconds apart, Hotel California comes on, and my mom (who named ME Karen btw) starts yelling at me that she can't believe I put this song on the tape as I KNOW how she feels about it, it's oppressive and satanic and makes her uncomfortable.

I had a terrible experience renting a room from a lady. Same vibe as the one in this video. After I left I found her new craigslist ad and reposted it pretending it was from her but telling the truth about her ridiculous expectations. My hope was to warn away any potential renters before they had the same bad experience. Oddly enough, I only got 1 response from a potential renter. 🙃

Yep. I’ve dealt with people like that when I was donating stuff. I need drivers training even though I’m well over 18 because of my anxiety & was about to get started when covid hit so I couldn’t. On a donation page I’m on I offered $16/hr to start with the easy stuff and $20+/hr with the harder parts like freeways,& highways. Figured someone would’ve helped since people couldn’t pay bills being out of a job & seemed liked a decent amount for someone not certified but they just all want handouts,& not a single person offered to help or knew anyone that would. My sons dad is going to help but I had to pay over $750 for a ps5 & have to ‘favor for a favor’ each time I want to practice. 😭 hopefully I learn quickly.

My son comes first and sometimes I don't even have money to feed myself but my son always has food, nice clothes, toys, everything he needs. You are so right. But while you're working hard to change that, it is highly entitled behavior to refuse to do something that is currently engrained in our culture. Servers and service providers depend on tips. They are what they pay their rent and buy their food with. Or you could just learn to cook and eat at home.
It IS screwed up that servers have to depend on tips from customers, I did it for years though and while I can appreciate the fact that it’s wrong, there are many people who depend on their tips. Some servers do great and make more than they probably would with a regular wage but many do not and barely make enough to survive. My thing is a job is a job, if tipping disappeared you’d still be paying the servers wages through increased meal prices and possibly lower quality service because they’re gonna get paid either way right? Lol that’s what I think people aren’t ready for, many servers in this country must bend over backwards for diners and deal with ridiculous customer expectations on “how they should be treated”. It’s crazy how some people act when they go out to eat, like they would never treat someone like that in almost any other setting but for some reason they think it’s okay to treat someone like shit if they’re being tipped? Idk? Like dude..it’s just food..some people act like you killed their cat if they’re order comes out wrong or whatever other thing they perceive as not being up to their expectations…those people will be in for a rude awakening when/if tipping goes away…ain’t no one gonna deal with that bullshit when they aren’t relying on your tip..it truly will change the entire industry and customer experience drastically..and that might not be a bad thing for real lol.
You'd be paying way higher prices for the food and drinks you order when you go out to eat. The restaurants aren't going to take a dip in their profit margins. They would raise the prices a lot in Oder to pay us a livable wage and people would be pissed about that too. so really people are just gonna be pissed either way. So tip your fucking servers.

Having worked at a nail salon and my sister is a nail tech let me explain the nail costs for anyone wondering. She got a pedicure and probably a manicure even though it isn't listed. She got a special shape that is harder to file (looks like a coffin or almond from what I can tell) and they're longer than standard so that costs a bit more too. She got a full acrylic set with colored powder instead of getting clear or white powder with a regular polish on top, colored acrylic powder is usually more expensive than clear or white. I'm not sure why they charged $5 for a different colored accent nail, maybe just because it was inconvenient to switch powders? Lastly she got nail art which is always more, but she got stones (I can't tell if they're glass or Swarovski from the picture) and that's usually more than a simple nail art design. Overall $117 is pretty standard for a set like this because it's time consuming and uses a lot of different products.
I HAD a friend who started a go fund me for her really expensive tattoos and kept sending me the links saying “hey hun have you donated to this? I’d really love to get a new tattoo, it’s my favorite anime character and it’s really important that I get this before going on my beach trip so I can show it off in my bikinis”
I wonder if she knows that tattoos are pretty much injuries to the body that needs to heal, and you should absolutely not expose them to the sun during said healing period.

I don't really swim or stay in the sun so not too bad, but we went walking on the beach at night and i wrapped that thing in aluminum foil and tape to protect it hahahaha. I didn't have a lot on hand.... It worked doh! I never really thought about the whole injury thing before and they told me while there. It was... an impulsive decision. I still love it so it worked out, fortunately.

@@lashdose975 it was a lot of fence though I don't know about the US but getting a solid wood fence in the UK is expensive and it had 2 gates as well. So in the UK that would be just under £200 for all that which would be worth it if the wood was in good condition. * for 80ft it's a bargain!

I knew a super entitled person who used to be a friend. She once asked me to drive her almost an hour one way to an airport around midnight for a concert she bought tickets to. In all fairness, she did ask weeks in advance. But she also bought these concert tickets and airfare knowing that she would skip 3 or 4 work days of our 10-week summer internship. I told her that I was having a lot of difficulty with recurrent pain in my shoulder, elbow, and back (all true) and would not want to drive her at that hour of the night while in pain in an area that I had never been to before. She proceeded to try to guilt me into driving her but I was firm with my decision. She ended up getting a ride from another intern and, from what the other intern (who is now a good friend) told me, it was an awful experience. This entitled person completely took over the music being played in my friend's car, refused to let my friend turn down the music or change it to something she wanted to listen to, and would try to make my friend feel guilty anytime she tried making any changes. Months later, this same entitled person would ask fellow graduate students to share their completed quantitative analysis homework with her and then threatened to commit suicide when a friend spoke up and said no. Clearly, my friends' experience with her entitlement is worse than my experience of her trying to guilt me into driving her to the airport in the middle of the night. We are now all done with her.

I've only just discovered these, but I'm already relating to her so much! These are the things I say to myself when I see/experience this kind of nonsense! I recently tried to give some furniture to a charity who first asked for pictures, then said they only wanted some of it and couldn't collect. I said ok, I need it gone by Friday so where do you want it dropped off? They didn't get back to me til the following Tuesday and were then annoyed with me because I'd had to dump it in between times!
You know, the "clean my place" ad... If you're paying someone so low to clean the place, if someone takes the offer, don't expect all your stuff to still be there at the end of the day. Or they possibly will come back to break in your house and steal stuff that they think would give them the money they deserve, and now they know the layout of your house, and an idea of the best possible way to Break in
I love this series! All of my jobs have been customer service related! I think my most memorable stories were from when I worked at a Credit Union in my home town. I have so many! One thing that is regular practice is putting checks over certain amounts on holds. This means the funds aren't immediately available. Holds are based off the person's balance, previous account history, how long the account's been open etc.... Most checks are held for 2 days, but some can be held for longer depending on individual circumstances. We had this guy and his wife who owned a construction business and we all hated having them come in because they would bring huge checks and throw GIANT fits if we tried to put them on hold. My favorite part of it all was he would say, " We've banked here for decades, and if you put this check on a hold we'll take our account elsewhere! We'll close our account! I just don't understand what the problem is." That always made me want to laugh out loud.... because if he takes a $10,000 plus dollar check to any other place to open a NEW account he'll automatically have to place the check on a 7 day hold because they have no account/transaction history on him, plus it's a huge check! I wanted to tell him to please, please do so, because it would save myself and the other tellers so much grief!
Here's my most memorable experience with an entitled person (who also happens to be my brother). He sold me his scuba diving equipment when he didn't want it anymore. I used it for several years, but when I was moving & needed money I sold it to a random person interested. Months later, my brother called & told me he wanted his equipment back. When I laughed & told him I didn't have it anymore because I sold it, he yelled that it was his & I had no right to sell it! I told him that it didn't belong to him anymore, that when you sell something, your rights to them are forfeit with the exchange of the sale. He was in his 20s at the time.
Right! How common is it for friends to just shell out that kind of money for eachother? I'd never take advantage of someone else's generosity, no one owes us anything. They should've just accepted that they HAD a good friend instead of publicly assassinating their own character

The roommate one sounds like it could've been written by my old housemate who stayed with my mum and me. A friend of mine, broke up with her boyfriend, who is a really good friend of mine, and came to stay with us for a while. I was at college and my mum was at work. This friend didn't cook, clean or do anything around the house. I'd come home from college and mum would come back from work, and mum, or myself, would be expected to cook something. She even wrote up a list of rules, like 'must not be grumpy' but she was the worst offender for that rule. It felt like we had to pander to her wishes and like she was taking over. Then she got back with said boyfriend and fell pregnant. She moved back in with her mum and then cut off all contact with mum and myself. Urgh!
Oh so this silly fun lady who is super awesome is trying to get her dad a boat. That's so sweet of her. Imma go watch all the ads and a ton of videos if I can. Not cause I wanna help or anything with the boat fund but because her videos keep making me smile and that's why I like watching these.
6:06 such a shame. Here in the UK, we’re being encouraged to eat out more (especially this month with the help of a government scheme) in order to help small businesses and restaurants get through Covid. Sadly, many are probably going to be forced to shut down in the end anyway 😔

Here's entitled for you. I'm disabled, unable to work. Driving long distances gets painful but if a friend needs a lift I won't even take their gas money. One friend started to feel extra entitled to my taxi services calls me up one day and says he knows I like to have a reason to get out for a while so he volunteered me to drive him and his semi unstable friend all around some town 30-40 miles away for the entire afternoon. That would have been excruciatingly painful including three grown ass adults in a subcompact car. I said no. He offered gas money. I said no, that's too far, too long, it would be very painful. Then he tells me he already promised his boy my driving services! Not happening. He rarely talks to me these days now because I don't want to be a taxi. Oh, and he owes me several Benjamins.

I once had a friend who liked a painting I did on a large piece of paper for an art class. She asked if she could make a copy of it at a Kinkos or something and I said "Sure! Just bring it back when you're finished". A week or so goes by and I haven't received my art back.
One day I go to her home and on her wall, framed, was my art! I asked her wtf? She said that she liked it so much she had it framed. I told her that it wasn't a gift, and reminded her that she told me she wanted to make a copy because she knew I wanted to keep it. When I told her to take it off her wall she said to me "It's already framed and on my wall." 😐
Long story short she thought I was completely unreasonable and that it was hers now because she had it framed. Perhaps needless to say I took that thing of her wall and took it home. Even her husband was like "Really your taking our art off our walls?" My response, "It never was YOUR art. It is MY art, and just because she steals it and had it framed didn't make it hers". 🙄

We had this roommate who was friends with my SO, and I finally got pregnant after trying for 6 years, and the roommate would intentionally eat my food, and refused to buy his own until my SO got into a fight with him. I was sooooo ill when I was pregnant, so I could only eat like three different things, and couldn't stomach the tap water, and he would eat or drink my stuff while I was at work, or sleeping. He's a 30 year old divorced man, that has nothing to do with his only child, and moved back in with his mom because he can't do his laundry 🤭😂. He is entitled trash 🙄

When I was having my son (in 1993) my midwife recommend soothing music to ease labor so like any child of the 80's, I made a mix tape. Just went through my cassette collection and picked anything I found relaxing. So my contractions were 7 minutes long and 30 seconds apart, Hotel California comes on, and my mom (who named ME Karen btw) starts yelling at me that she can't believe I put this song on the tape as I KNOW how she feels about it, it's oppressive and satanic and makes her uncomfortable.

Yep. I’ve dealt with people like that when I was donating stuff. I need drivers training even though I’m well over 18 because of my anxiety & was about to get started when covid hit so I couldn’t. On a donation page I’m on I offered $16/hr to start with the easy stuff and $20+/hr with the harder parts like freeways,& highways. Figured someone would’ve helped since people couldn’t pay bills being out of a job & seemed liked a decent amount for someone not certified but they just all want handouts,& not a single person offered to help or knew anyone that would.
My sons dad is going to help but I had to pay over $750 for a ps5 & have to ‘favor for a favor’ each time I want to practice. 😭 hopefully I learn quickly.

You are so right. But while you're working hard to change that, it is highly entitled behavior to refuse to do something that is currently engrained in our culture. Servers and service providers depend on tips. They are what they pay their rent and buy their food with.

It IS screwed up that servers have to depend on tips from customers, I did it for years though and while I can appreciate the fact that it’s wrong, there are many people who depend on their tips. Some servers do great and make more than they probably would with a regular wage but many do not and barely make enough to survive. My thing is a job is a job, if tipping disappeared you’d still be paying the servers wages through increased meal prices and possibly lower quality service because they’re gonna get paid either way right? Lol that’s what I think people aren’t ready for, many servers in this country must bend over backwards for diners and deal with ridiculous customer expectations on “how they should be treated”. It’s crazy how some people act when they go out to eat, like they would never treat someone like that in almost any other setting but for some reason they think it’s okay to treat someone like shit if they’re being tipped? Idk? Like dude..it’s just food..some people act like you killed their cat if they’re order comes out wrong or whatever other thing they perceive as not being up to their expectations…those people will be in for a rude awakening when/if tipping goes away…ain’t no one gonna deal with that bullshit when they aren’t relying on your tip..it truly will change the entire industry and customer experience drastically..and that might not be a bad thing for real lol.
You'd be paying way higher prices for the food and drinks you order when you go out to eat. The restaurants aren't going to take a dip in their profit margins. They would raise the prices a lot in Oder to pay us a livable wage and people would be pissed about that too. so really people are just gonna be pissed either way. So tip your fucking servers.

Having worked at a nail salon and my sister is a nail tech let me explain the nail costs for anyone wondering.
She got a pedicure and probably a manicure even though it isn't listed. She got a special shape that is harder to file (looks like a coffin or almond from what I can tell) and they're longer than standard so that costs a bit more too. She got a full acrylic set with colored powder instead of getting clear or white powder with a regular polish on top, colored acrylic powder is usually more expensive than clear or white. I'm not sure why they charged $5 for a different colored accent nail, maybe just because it was inconvenient to switch powders? Lastly she got nail art which is always more, but she got stones (I can't tell if they're glass or Swarovski from the picture) and that's usually more than a simple nail art design. Overall $117 is pretty standard for a set like this because it's time consuming and uses a lot of different products.

I don't really swim or stay in the sun so not too bad, but we went walking on the beach at night and i wrapped that thing in aluminum foil and tape to protect it hahahaha. I didn't have a lot on hand.... It worked doh! I never really thought about the whole injury thing before and they told me while there. It was... an impulsive decision. I still love it so it worked out, fortunately.

I knew a super entitled person who used to be a friend. She once asked me to drive her almost an hour one way to an airport around midnight for a concert she bought tickets to. In all fairness, she did ask weeks in advance. But she also bought these concert tickets and airfare knowing that she would skip 3 or 4 work days of our 10-week summer internship. I told her that I was having a lot of difficulty with recurrent pain in my shoulder, elbow, and back (all true) and would not want to drive her at that hour of the night while in pain in an area that I had never been to before. She proceeded to try to guilt me into driving her but I was firm with my decision. She ended up getting a ride from another intern and, from what the other intern (who is now a good friend) told me, it was an awful experience. This entitled person completely took over the music being played in my friend's car, refused to let my friend turn down the music or change it to something she wanted to listen to, and would try to make my friend feel guilty anytime she tried making any changes. Months later, this same entitled person would ask fellow graduate students to share their completed quantitative analysis homework with her and then threatened to commit suicide when a friend spoke up and said no. Clearly, my friends' experience with her entitlement is worse than my experience of her trying to guilt me into driving her to the airport in the middle of the night. We are now all done with her.

I've only just discovered these, but I'm already relating to her so much! These are the things I say to myself when I see/experience this kind of nonsense! I recently tried to give some furniture to a charity who first asked for pictures, then said they only wanted some of it and couldn't collect. I said ok, I need it gone by Friday so where do you want it dropped off? They didn't get back to me til the following Tuesday and were then annoyed with me because I'd had to dump it in between times!

You know, the "clean my place" ad... If you're paying someone so low to clean the place, if someone takes the offer, don't expect all your stuff to still be there at the end of the day. Or they possibly will come back to break in your house and steal stuff that they think would give them the money they deserve, and now they know the layout of your house, and an idea of the best possible way to Break in

I love this series! All of my jobs have been customer service related! I think my most memorable stories were from when I worked at a Credit Union in my home town. I have so many!
One thing that is regular practice is putting checks over certain amounts on holds. This means the funds aren't immediately available. Holds are based off the person's balance, previous account history, how long the account's been open etc.... Most checks are held for 2 days, but some can be held for longer depending on individual circumstances. We had this guy and his wife who owned a construction business and we all hated having them come in because they would bring huge checks and throw GIANT fits if we tried to put them on hold. My favorite part of it all was he would say, " We've banked here for decades, and if you put this check on a hold we'll take our account elsewhere! We'll close our account! I just don't understand what the problem is." That always made me want to laugh out loud.... because if he takes a $10,000 plus dollar check to any other place to open a NEW account he'll automatically have to place the check on a 7 day hold because they have no account/transaction history on him, plus it's a huge check! I wanted to tell him to please, please do so, because it would save myself and the other tellers so much grief!
Here's my most memorable experience with an entitled person (who also happens to be my brother). He sold me his scuba diving equipment when he didn't want it anymore. I used it for several years, but when I was moving & needed money I sold it to a random person interested. Months later, my brother called & told me he wanted his equipment back. When I laughed & told him I didn't have it anymore because I sold it, he yelled that it was his & I had no right to sell it! I told him that it didn't belong to him anymore, that when you sell something, your rights to them are forfeit with the exchange of the sale. He was in his 20s at the time.

The roommate one sounds like it could've been written by my old housemate who stayed with my mum and me.
A friend of mine, broke up with her boyfriend, who is a really good friend of mine, and came to stay with us for a while.
I was at college and my mum was at work. This friend didn't cook, clean or do anything around the house. I'd come home from college and mum would come back from work, and mum, or myself, would be expected to cook something.
She even wrote up a list of rules, like 'must not be grumpy' but she was the worst offender for that rule. It felt like we had to pander to her wishes and like she was taking over.
Then she got back with said boyfriend and fell pregnant. She moved back in with her mum and then cut off all contact with mum and myself. Urgh!
