I was kind of confused at first because in S1 it seemed like Makomo and Sabito died at the same selection, and that this was a retconn lol. But I guess it's just because of the ambiguous way they described their deaths in S1. I don't like Shinobu entrusting killing whoever that demon is to Kanao, gives me bad vibes for Shinobu's safety ngl.
Since she died in a final selection and no one but Sabito died in his final selection, she clearly died at a different time and probably never knew Giyu/Sabito in life.
@@fingolfinofnoldor3592 Yes that's said here, but in S1 they made it seem like they both died at the same time.
@@kevint4673 I thought both of them were from the same batch too, but after all the ghosts appeared to say goodbye to Tanjiro after the Arms Demon died, it made more sense that to think that Sabito and Makomo dying are just to show that the Arms Demon were purposely hunting students of Urokodaki, not that they were from the same generation.
Also, the Arms Demon was the one who narrated their deaths, and we know the guy had issues tracking time.
Its more like the hand demon just remembered them both because they were exceptional, not that they fought together

Heard a REALLY intriguing theory. Maybe Tamayo is the demon who killed the Insect Hashira's (Kocho) sister and now Kocho is being ordered to collaborate with the one who took her sister from her. Would explain how upset she was.
