Improving in 4k is a joke. Try going from 1* to 5* in 7k just as quickly as in 4k. You'll be disappointed.

@@TheFalek OMG i just switched to your 6.5 skin the circle one and i just passed my hardestr ranked map wihich is like 5.60 stars ;o; i normally play arrows i always thought circles were hard to read they make dense note sections so much easier to read
I made the same switch from arrows to circles as well, much better accuracy / combos now.
uwuCat This is just my opinion but arrows are easier to read xd, buuuuut, the settings of the skin of TheFalek are perfect, the (65,65,65,65) and (180) settings really helped me a lot to read better, it easn’t too much the circles but the settings are just perfect too sight, i used circles but then i changed to the stop aSKIN for it xd, prob you’ll like it too

If you compare yourself to someone better than you you will always feel inferior, but remember that those people also went through the same problems as you do, just enjoy the game at your pace and try to change things a bit whenever you can, like, use a different skin, try hidden mode, mess with scroll speed, and nonetheless have fun!
What amazes me is the fact that i struggle to even watch what is happening never mind trying to play the thing.
Its easier than it seems, you just need to put a little time into the game, anyone can do it :)

@@TheDantheman12121 not really. the more you play the more experienced you get with different patterns, you develop muscle memory for those patterns. most of these songs that seem impossible to follow are a fusillade of simple patterns. it's easier to developer muscle memeory for the 4k patterns because some 7k patterns are harder to get into muscle memeory (like double stairs). in essence, play more

@@justakidwithnolife5671 Don't push yourself. Your mental condition affects your performance greatly. If you feel stressed because you are not improving, then take some time off and relax yourself. Don't play because you want to improve, play it because you have fun with it. You will notice the difference after a while. Just be patient. It took roughly a year for me to improve. I can now S 5* maps consistently and made my first 6* pass with 95% accuracy recently on "NANO DEATH!" Extra. Each person has their own rate of improvement so don't be disappointed if you are not improving fast enough. Cheers!

Don’t worry if your progress isn’t as fast, everyone progresses at a different rate and plays a different amount (this guy played a lot) if you ask me it matters more when you quit.

Quique Toques but his progress is really slow.. and I bet he didn’t even play a lot.... have you Jesen? That is real et. His 1 year progress is more than my 1.5 year. Granted I did have a 8 months break+2 months reset with dengue but he also had a break so it somehow evens out

I've played for about 4days worth of hours over about a yr and a half almost. (Not alot of osu for that time ik) and have hit 22k global in that time, it's nice seeing some progress videos!!

Hey I just started mania about a week ago and got up to 90k. Is it normal to play worse when your tired? Also how do you know what maps to play for pp?

yeah its normal to play worse when youre tired. i dont know much about what will give you pp as 90k but go to people's profiles around rank 60-70k and see their top plays. those should give you some pp
I know the video is from a long time ago but I wanted to ask if it is normal that I have been playing for almost 2 months and I can only pass levels of 3.30 * with s and some 3.50-3.40 with a and b also 3.70 with b, any advice to advance to 4 stars? or just move on. thanks in advance.

How do you get better? Im at a huge skill block and havent improved much if not at all in 1-2 months
Yo, I'm still not there yet and haven't done much improvement, but I could give u an advice on how I approach on improving: (a specifics of "play more" haha)
Take only as much as you can munch; what I mean is, only play maps that you 'could' or at least pass.
For example, you can comfortably play 3.5*-4* maps, now this doesn't mean u can play all maps THAT WELL, find that map that you could pass, but still find it somewhat not comfortable, like u could only do 600k-800k scores, put that map on a collection.
Play different maps, Stream maps, Jacks, Chords, Long notes, SV.
What I do whenever I play a map for the first time is: *1. Do I like the song? Do I vibe with it* ('cause fun's the most important thing ;) ) *2. Do I find it somewhat difficult? THE PATTERNS? Am I used to those patterns?* If not, then I will put it on a collection of maps something like 'for improvement'.
Build up your stamina, play longer maps that are fun enough for you not to get bored when playing it! (For this, I play Endurance Pack, Cyberteam at Akihabara-3* to be specific) *Play this every session, make it 2 times if u can*
And if you think u're comfortable enough to up the difficulty to atleast a 0.5*, try it! Also, adjust the scroll speed and see if u could read faster now; *repeat the process!*
Take breaks of course, a session a day will do, for me, 2hrs per session most of the time. And if u feel bummed out, or just straight up on a skill wall, take at leas a week break, I'm pretty sure it will do something :)
